She shouted aloud as she saw the terrifying thing, covered in blood, as the darkness gradually turned into twilight. As its teeth became visible to her sight, she screamed. She pushed it aside and crept back. As she did so, the light shattered all around her. At last, she could make out the shape of the thing in front of her. "Alex?" she cried out, her voice quivering.
She stood there still for a moment before slowly getting to her feet. Her eyes had now returned to their natural color, and as she glanced at her blood-stained hands, all the images that had been flooding her head at the time, frightened her.
