Gia stood in the kitchen, wearing Patrick's number twelve Renegades tee and sipping her coffee. Patrick grabbed a container and bag off the kitchen counter and walked towards her.
Handing Gia the bakery bag, he smiled. "Here, sweet thing, breakfast for the birthday girl."
She smiled, put down her coffee, grabbed the bag and opened it. "Oooh," she cooed. "Is this a chocolate danish?" She loved Snickerdoodle's chocolate danish. They were a perfect combination of sweet chocolate and flaky pastry.
"Yep. Better than a doughnut, right?" he asked with a grin.
Gia loved that bakery. "So, what's in that?" She pointed to the container on the counter behind Patrick. She could see the writing on the top. "Looks like it's from the deli?"
