CHAPTER 3PATRICK Patrick quickly retreated to the men's room. He needed to clear his head. He didn't doubt that Tyler watched his every move. The way Gia looked at him, while Trish talked about him no longer having an entourage of puck bunnies, made his slacks tighten. Sure she belonged to Ty, but he had convinced himself that Tyler was just a kid. He could offer her so much more. He thought he had proved that to her last year, even though she ran out of his place before he woke up. They hadn't spoken of it since. She had done her best to avoid him all these months: skipping the games, dinners at Kris and Kat's and team dinners. Well, he had missed the team dinners too.
