Matteo arrived later that day, while Vanessa was lying in bed taking a nap. Raffaele went to greet him at the door and introduced him to his parents, before they sat down in the kitchen where Luna Marlene made them some coffee.
“How is she holding up?” Matteo asked, concerned about his friend.
