This time One’s even barking to threaten her.     There is no way Leanne pushed her luck, and tries to see if that K-9 dog would actually attack her or not. Not long after that Ace is back into the room, with a plate of pasta, and a glass of an orange juice. He handed the plate of pasta to Leanne, and put the orange juice on the bedside table, before give One a compliment.     “Ace—”     “You want to leave this room? Eat faster, finish your meal, and after a while you can leave.”     “I had my breakfast.”     “Oh, did you? What did you have for breakfast?” said Ace challenging her, while heading toward the other side of the bed to lay down.     It took her a moment to reply, since she hasn’t had a descent breakfast. “T-the usual..- - A Coffee, with milk…”     “I’m not even gonna respond to that. You can soon continue your works, or just taking your time longer, here.. It’s your choice.” Said Ace lightly. He crossed his ankle and turn the TV on, ignoring her for a while.     Leanne then started to eat her pasta, now she knows Cheryl’s actual feeling when someone forced them to eat. Except she’s not a kid.     When she finished her meal, she drank her orange juice until both of them are empty. Ace took the plate and the glass from her hands before she got a change to stand up from the bed.     “Now, take a break for a while.” Said Ace putting the plate and glass back on the bedside table. Leanne’s jaw is dropping, her eyes widened and her eyebrows are raised in confused.     “I’ve finished my meal. You said I can go after that.” Said Leanne.     “Nope, I said ‘After a while’ you can leave.”     “I’m not even tired, Ace! Are you trying to get me fired?”     “That’s a lie, I heard you said you lacked of sleeping last night, and don’t be too dramatized she won’t fire you for just taking a nap.”     “Wanna bet?” said Leanne crossing her hand on her chest.     Ace turned the TV off, and covered his eyes with his one arm. “Just relax—at least for fifteen minutes.. Now, do you mind?”     Leanne mumbled and feeling fed up for had been deceit by him. She’s trying to get down from the bed again but One is still showing her his hostile threat by growling.     “Don’t try him, Red. I’m telling you.” Said Ace.     Leanne then took her shoes off to the floor, before toss her body back to the bed, made the bed shaking once. She lied beside Ace’s body, awkwardly, deciding to put up on another 15 minutes. She turns her sleep position to the side—with her back toward him, still feeling annoyed at him.     Long that she knows, her mind wandering in peaceful thoughts, the bed and the room temperature are very comfortable and she’s soon feeling relax. She doesn’t remember closing her eyes, and went sleeping.     It took only about 10 minutes for her to close her eyes and sleeping. Ace can sense her breathing regularly, which made him sure that she fell asleep already.     He moves toward her very slowly because he’s afraid to wake her up, before stroke her hair for a second. Watching her—sleeping, peacefully.     Damn, I think I need a cold shower, right now!—he thought. Brought her unto his bed that way, pretended not to be affected by the sensation she gave him from seeing her eyes, lips, and touching her body. He rubbed his face feeling frustrated with his needs over her, before went to the bathroom straight away.     After taking a bath and put some clothes on, Ace took a beer from his fridge. He paused for a while looking at her bare feet, her presence on his bed with his darkened eyes, before opening the beer-can, drink it, and lied back to his bed beside her.     He checked his phone for a while, replying a few messages from his team and from June. He kept focus on the phone, since he knows that watching her sleeping, is not a good idea for his self-control.      A few moment later, Ace suddenly noticed the change in her breathing. She’s shallow-breathing in her sleep. Ace reach her shoulder and gently moves her—pull her shoulder toward him, made her sleeping position change to her back on the bed, but she’s still not awake.     Even though it’s only for about 30 minutes-napping, but it turns out to be a deep-sleep napping where Leanne experiencing a bad dream. You’re safe, it’s just a bad dream.”     Leanne is still panting a little bit, looking around, and try to pull herself together back in reality, before take her round eyes on Ace’s eyes. She realised soon, that she had fall asleep. Surprisingly..     “W-what time i-is it?!” said Leanne.     “Don’t worry about it. You didn’t sleep that long.” He looked at her thoroughly, before deciding to ask her, “Bad dreams?”     Leanne fluttered agitatedly, not sure how to answer him. She looked down for a second, before finally speaks.     “- -I – have to g-go..” she said while slowly get down from the bed, wearing her shoes but hesitated to take a step forward. She watched One for a second, and looking at Ace—searching for his approval to leave his room.     “It’s fine now.. you can go.”     “T-thank you.” She briefly said, leaving his room at once. She ran down the stairs, with her stormy mind. How could she fell asleep in his room?!     As for Ace, he is no longer in doubt about two things related with Leanne. There is something about Leanne’s past that made her easily alarmed or startled, and that past must had been the traumatic-one. Because back there,—while she was in her bad dreams, she mumbled in rejection, saying the words ‘stop’ and begging to be free, over and over again.
