Chapter 18: Wolves Attack

Nathan POV

If before I was confused, now I felt worse, Laura was right in many things, I only knew what April’s Dad told me about their family, and what if there were more of what he told me.

Reason why I accepted Laura’s help to investigate a little more about their family, to be able to know what I was getting in to.

April’s Dad had told me he had to run away from his former pack and also that he was scared they found him and wanted to kill April and her Mom, to be able to take him back to the pack, as their Alpha wolf.

I told Laura how I always felt so comfortable speaking with him, since I felt that he was the only one could really understand what I was going through, but after we made some research on Werewolf.  I could understand that Alpha wolves had a way to make other wolves trust in them and feel good around them, since they were born leaders and knew how to speak to others and earned they trust.

That made me feel much more unsecure, because he told me things would not work out between April and I, until she knew what I were, but he also told me that I had to wait for him to explain to her about him and their family.

And thinking about it, he wasn’t in a hurry to let her know about their past.

How could I break things to her if her Dad, wasn’t ready to reveal himself.  That could be a real problem, and I shared that with Laura.

We stood up all night looking thru the web for information about where they came from and their former pack.

As we could expect their wasn’t explicit information about the Carter’s Werewolf background, but when Laura went to the Dark Web, we could get much more information about them.

 For some strange reason my phone did not want to turn on, so I couldn’t know if April had receive my message or if she sent any to my phone.

When I asked Laura she showed me the un responded text message she sent to April.  I just wished she was not angry at me, since I understood that I had to do this, before going any further with her, for her wellbeing and our successful love life together.

I felt really grateful with Laura for helping me in this search, it might help her to understand my love for April.

I really did not know how hours and even days went by so fast, in between searching, sleeping and eating with Laura at my side, not once left me alone.

It was Sunday night, when we learned about April’s Dad former pack, and effectively there were an alert on the Dark Web, for anyone who knew where he was.

Laura and I looked at each other, since we could see things were further more complicated than I thought they were.

I decided I had to speak to April’s Dad, to be able to sort out somethings and he could confirm when everything will be able to be explained so we could continue with our lives.

So I waited till Laura was asleep and went through the window.

Sygma although wasn’t so happy with me all weekend, since he kept telling me, I shouldn’t trust Laura; was happy to be able to come out and run tonight.

We reached April´s house fast enough and I stayed in the back of the house, with a distance away, just in case April or her Mom were around.

As I expected April’s Dad came out after a few minutes, sensing that I was around.

When I saw him at first I were glad to see him, until I could see he wasn’t.

As he approached he held me by my neck, asking why did I told April about me.

I really didn’t understand what he was accusing me of, since he was so angry I merely could understand all the things he was saying to me.  I went on my knees and plead for him to explain himself.

He told me that someone had sent a recording of when I was entering in my room changing back to human, saying, that was the monster she were dating and that her Dad was also a Werewolf.

My mind run instantly on Laura, but did not understand why she would do something like that, after all they spoked.

April’s Dad continued saying that, because of that she had a nervous breakdown and they had to take her yesterday to the hospital where they had her in a mental ward, her Mom stayed with her since then.

But he kept saying that all of it was my fault, that he should have ripped my guts out, from the night he found me around there house.

He was so angry at me he did not listen to many of the things I tried to explain to him and I could also relate to his anger, since I felt the same towards Laura.

When he was about to turned to his wolf form, to bring my life to an end, I closed my eyes not even thinking to defend myself, since I was so hurt on how Laura use my trust to hurt April and her family.

I suddenly heard some growls and when I opened my eyes I couldn’t believe what they was seeing.

There was about six other big angry wolves, around us, one of them had thrown itself on top of April’s Dad already turned into his wolf form.

Two of them went into the house and we could hear how they went through the home ripping and breaking thru everything.

I was really scared and did not know what was happening, one of them stood close to me smelling and sniffing me.

He transformed into a tall, muscle guy with dark hair and grey eyes, looked on me while I was trying to hide my nudity behind some leaves, although it seemed that neither his or my nudity did not affect him.

He said to me: So you are a Sygma Wolf, thanks for taking me to our Alpha, we would allow you to live a little more because of that.

I said: What…. No…. I didn’t; looking nervously towards April’s Dad that had a furious look on his face, looking directly to me.

Then he said, I really should have killed you, when I could, you brought disgrace to my family, not only got my daughter insane, but you brought these animals to my home.

Then looking directly on the guy that was beside me, with a daring look and he said; So Beta, are you ready to take me back? How much did you offer this stupid Sygma, to sell me out?

The guy identified as Beta chuckled and then said: We didn’t have to offer him anything, his ambitious stupid half-sister contact us, to be able to claim money for information on your behalf.

He continued saying, you know we don’t deal with humans, so we track their device and waited.  We did not have to wait too much, since this Dumb Ass Sygma brought us straight to you.  But your family is not here, we thought you told him that, so he could leave your daughter alone, don’t tell me we will have to murder them in a Hospital.

April’s Dad had his eyes full of rage when he shoved both wolves and went directly to the Beta Wolf, but not before shouting me to leave.
