Final Chapter: The Crazy End

Third Person POV

It was Monday evening and April’s Mom haven’t been able to communicate with her husband, she felt something was really wrong, since it was so strange so many days go by without him wanting to hear from them, she really had to do something, she did not want to call any neighbor or the police, because her husband always told her that they would not understand the wolf situation.

She eventually decided to leave April under the nurses care of the facility and go look for Nathan.  She remembered he worked at a Car Parts Store, maybe he knew what happened.

The following day, she went to the bus station to go back to their town and head to find Nathan.

She arrived at noon and took a Cab directly to the Car Parts Store, were Laura received her.

She told April’s Mom that she also were concerned of Nathan since she have not seen or heard from him, from Sunday night.  At first she thought he was with April, but now it is very strange, since he doesn’t do things like that, since he had a responsibility at the store.

April’s mom did not want to involve Laura so she tried to leave without giving her more information.  But Laura did not want her to go, without filling her in more facts, she went as far as to let April’s mom know she knew about the wolf thing, as if Nathan always told her everything including that April’s Dad was also a Werewolf.

Laura even offered to companion her back to their house, to see what had happen, although April’s mom told her it could be very dangerous, they headed to April house, not before closing the store for lunch hour.

At the house everything seemed ok, from the front side, but when April’s Mom, were going to open the door with her key, she saw it was unlocked.

They got inside very carefully, trying not to make any sounds, as they checked every room in the house, there wasn’t anyone inside the house, although everything was scattered as if there were a burglary.

There were also a scent of death, or at least blood, they kept looking around and saw the phone line disconnected from inside and her husband mobile phone damaged as if someone or something had stepped on it.

They were in April’s Room when they heard like if someone moved in the back of the house, April’s mom motioned to Laura with her index finger on her mouth, not to make any noise.

Went back to their room, to take a gun from under their bed, were April’s Dad hid it for protection.  With Laura by her side at all moment they decided they will go see what or who was in the back of the house, going through the kitchen door.

At first when they got out the house they only saw something run fast to hide between the trees and when they look on the spot where it was before they saw April’s Dad lying dead with his throat ripped off.

April’s Mom could not believe, they had murdered her husband, tears invaded her eyes meanwhile her heart felt someone was ripping it out as they had did with her husband heart and throat.

She was so hurt she left the gun on the floor, forgetting for a while there were something hidden between the trees, she did not even care how messy her husband were all covered with blood, and she kneel and hugged him crying inconsolably.

After a while they heard something moving towards them from the trees and Laura picked up the gun, since April’s Mom wasn’t in any state to defend herself.

As they both expected, it was a wolf, but for a strange reason this wolf wasn’t only furious, he was hurt like if it had fought and looked very sad.

He was trying to get close to April’s Dad again and April’s Mom stood on her feet, since she felt this wolf could be Nathan.  As she stood the wolf got closer and Laura was so scared, since she never saw a Werewolf so close and shot the gun.

She shot three times, since the gun only had three bullets, but the first bullet hit the wolf, making it much more furious and snapped at Laura, the second bullet landed on April’s Mom, since when she heard the first shot, she tried to stop Laura getting the second and third bullet in her chest and head.

She died instantly and the wolf although had a shot, went directly to Laura chasing her in the house when she tried to run and hide, jumping on top of her and bitted her neck killing her in a second.  After the wolf bit and ripped off her head, he just spitted it out and fell beside the body.

Awaken on time before police officers got in the house, since neighbors had called them after hearing the gun shots. He ran into the woods coming back after a couple of days trying to remember what had happen in the past days, he couldn’t do anything else than to cry.

He had recall the night the wolves attacked April’s Dad, how he told him to run and he didn’t.

He first tried to fight the wolves beside April’s Dad. But they were so many, and he did not have the experience an Alpha Wolf like April’s Dad had.

He tried to bit them and scrape them, but each time they would throw him aside hurting him so bad he thought he would dye the last time.

Lucky for him, he healed in a couple of days, just to wake up to find April’s Dad, dead with his heart and throat ripped out.  For some reason he did not want to leave him there and really didn’t know what to do, when he heard somebody in the house coming through the kitchen door.

At first he thought they were the wolves that came back, but after he ran and hide he could see it was Laura with April’s Mom.

He was so sad, confused and hurt, that did not acknowledge was still in his wolf form, although from the night they killed April’s Dad, for some strange reason it seemed he could not change back to his human form.

He felt different and could not speak to Sygma anymore, it was like if he had become Sygma and Nathan was no more there.

When he saw Laura he felt anger, remembering she were the one responsible of everything, although he wanted to comfort April’s Mom, he was fighting with the feeling to hurt Laura, till she shot him and killed April’s Mom.

Everything came back to him and the beast he became just wanted her blood.

He was also hurt, but he knew he had to kill her, although now he felt regret, since she was more than a Sister to him, she was his best friend and he was fighting also with the guilt of the first kill.

He knew he couldn’t stay there as much as he wanted to keep scenting April on her things, then he got an idea of scenting April’s Mom coat and started his journey to go look for his mate.

It took him a Day before he could arrive the mental facility that was on the outskirts of another town, as he was still on his wolf form he had to wait until night to be able to try to get close to April.

When it was dark enough he started scenting outside the windows of each room until he reached his mates wild flowers scent.

He could see between the curtains that April was sitting in a chair beside the bed just looking lost to the wall. 

But something strange happened when he got closer to the window, she reacted and looked straight to where he was, as if she could feel or scent him.

Although the scene of her in that room was melancholic, with her lost sad look and her hair all messed up.  His heart jumped and was glad to be able to be close to her.

She got up and he did not know if to hide or stand still, but his paws couldn’t move.  It was as if he were hypnotized by her movements towards the window.

She opened the window and softly patted his head between the burglar bars, always looking directly in his eyes.

From that day on, he knew it was best for her to stay in that facility, but he never went back to his home or town.

At days he hid and ate what he hunted and at nights he always visited and stayed by His Crazy Mate.
