The second Elara woke up, she knew something wasn’t right. The smell of the air was too clean. The light was too dim. What sent shivers down her spine wasn’t just the cold stone floor beneath her; it was the silence. Not the kind that made you feel safe, but rather a one that creaked danger. She sat up, her wrists throbbing from the abrasive ropes that had tied her hands. Now, they were free. But that didn’t comfort her. Someone had untied her.
