Rhonda walked the block home and strolled in the house with a huge smile on her face.
“I told you, baby.” Rhonda looked up to find her brother standing there with his arms crossed, while Mickey stood in the corner with an evil grin plastered on his face. “That little hussy was out with some ni***. That’s why she flew out of the house so fast with Roscoe ass, like we don’t know she hate him.” Mickey stuck out his tongue playfully at Rhonda. He just knew something was about to go down and he just lived for a good drama scene.
“First off, Michelle, with yo’ ole gossiping ass, wasn’t nobody with no ni***. Second, stay in your lane because last time I checked, my ID said that I was grown.”
“You grown…but you living in my house!” Mickey snapped back.
“My BROTHER’S house! The last time I got the mail, yo’ name wasn’t on one bill. In fact, the only mail you get is yo’ ratchet ass gossip magazines.” She chuckled
“Devin, you need to check this b***h before I—” He stepped closer to her.
“Before you what? Get yo’ life fu—”
Devin put his hand over her mouth. “Whoa, hold up you two. Now this is our house. We ALL need to respect each other. Now apologize.” Devin looked at one then the other.
Rhonda was not in the mood for any apologies or motivational speeches. Grabbing her purse off the couch she walked out the door, not even bothering to close it.
“But sis in-law, where are you going? We were just about to hug it out!” Mickey yelled after her sarcastically.
Rhonda was so pissed that she damn near ran down to her new friend’s house. Roe didn’t know it yet but she had just sealed her fate.
Becca was taking out the trash when she saw Rhonda hightailing it towards her. “Damn girl I thought I was supposed to miss you, but you the one racing back.” She started to chuckle until she noticed Roe’s snarl. “What the f**k happened? You practically just left.” She walked up to Rhonda and grabbed her hand.
Rhonda snatched her hand in anger and started pacing. “Girrrl…I just had a huge argument with my brother and his…his…his b***h! Ugh, I can’t stand his b***h ass boyfriend, he always startin’ s**t. I almost beat the breaks off that bitch.” Rhonda took a deep breath and tried to compose herself.
“Yes, breath, calm you nerves. You makin’ me hot and I don’t even know what happened yet.” Becca said with raised eyebrows.
Rhonda regains her composure. “It’s a long story but I don’t really feel like going into details. Do you want to still chill though? I need a break from them before I have nowhere to live.” Roe tried to soften her face but to no avail.
“Girl how about you stay here a few days, cool off, then go back.”
“What? Are you serious? You barely know me.” She was hesitant but couldn’t contain the excitement in her voice.
She didn’t know yet if it was the thrill of getting to spend time with someone free spirited like Becca, or the thought of not gagging on Clorox fumes each night. “Girl please, I have had more in common with you and better conversation with you in the last few hours than anyone I have ever known. I have been around a lot of characters, and sometimes you can trust strangers more than your own family. Plus, I could use some backup while I’m working...” She winked.
“And you my dear, looked like the incredible hulk busting around that corner.”
They laughed.
“I for damn sure was hoping you wasn’t mad at my ass mugging like that. Maybe it will work on an iffy trick, or keep some of them hoes from trying me.” Rhonda’s expression got serious. “Oh let a nigga try me like Dej, and it’s ova for em’. I pray for any b***h or n!**a that crosses us in this lifetime. They will regret it in a very big way!”
