Chapter One : Scarlet

Scarlet Vermillion Zobel, a successful online adviser pharmaceutical company CEO, have been reflecting about what’s been missing in her life. Holding a hot black aromatic coffee on her porcelain soft hands, she has been staring at the perfect glow of sunset illuminating her 127-floor dark gray and rose gold accent building.

She is the daughter of Mr. Anthony Zobel, a senator with lots of properties around the country. Her father is the only one who truly loved her , even her own mother was jealous of their bond as a father-daughter when her late mother was still alive. Her mother just regarded her as commodity. She knows very well that her mother was just forced to marry her father since it was very normal back then. Two powerful families unite their wealth and power through marriage. The only thing she cannot understand is why would her mother loathe her so much by just merely existing?

She is living a dream life, full of luxury, vice and fun. She has a childhood best friend, Mia Alcaraz. They were partners through thick and thin, inseparable, and accomplice in each other’s adventure. Until that unexpected fateful night when Scar received an intriguing chat from her classmate, Almira Bosch.

“I know I shouldn’t do this, but you have to know the truth. I saw your dearest boyfriend taking a woman in the nearby hotel just three blocks from our school. I’ll forward the name of the hotel. Get yourself there to caught them in the act before it’s too late.”

Without thinking any reason whether to believe or not the message, Scar drove vigorously her luxury car to the referred address. As she rode the elevator to the room together with the hotel manager which she paid generously just to say the exact room. She is shaking not from fear but unmeasurable anger.

Upon reaching the bedroom, her anger shifted to the girl soundly sleeping in the arm of her Matthew. She is extremely shocked by the scene in front of her. The girl is no other than her most trusted friend, Mia. She left the room without a word, not even a sound and carefully not even waking the two sleeping traitorous persons enjoying their sweet dreams from an ecstatic s*x they had shared.

She got numb of the pain. Scar thought she could only see those happen in movies. Now, she completely lost her trust to anyone except herself.

From that dreadful night, she purposely erased all her contacts in that school, and transferred to a new one. A different country, a different school, a different Scarlet Vermillion.

The previously rich kid, who only think about fun moments learn to be more mature. Scarlet was now a very independent, goal oriented, meticulously organized with her life. She manages to save from her generous allowance and donate to charities and other private organizations with clean intentions to help create more jobs. Scarlet firmly believe through working smart; anyone could achieve any goal.

After discovering her Ex-lover together in bed with her childhood best friend, she has been standing more firmly on her feet bearing all the hurt and betrayal she surpassed. She has grown numb with the pain.

For eight years now, she manages to be independent from her father’s grip and pampering love. She learns to start a company on her own, which became a massive hit in the market. Now her only goal is to have a child on her own. She has only one strong criterion for the generous donor,a perfect gene.

Packed her suitcases, booked her plane ticket, she now willing to take chances of getting her bundle of joy. There is no other perfect venue for spotting the suitable donor than finding it with her own eyes. She’ll know it when she sees it.​
