She returned to me, body racked with shivers, and I held her, falling down onto our knees, I held her. She cupped my face, inspecting the superficial damage I'd suffered at Cameron's hands. I told her I was okay, repeating it over and over but she was hurting. I could see it there, in her eyes. 'I thought you were gone.' She hiccuped, tears flowing freely now. 'He hurt you. God I'm so sorry....' 'I'm okay. I'm more than okay. You're here. And you did it....' 'Is he dead?' 'I'd say so.' I felt laughter leave my lips. 'Are you sure?' 'Certain.' She collapsed against my chest, and I folded my legs out from beneath me, resting against the back wall. She felt so good. She was here. And so was I. 'I have an idea.' She whispered, planting a kiss just over my heart. 'But I need your help.'
