Chapter 14

1123 Words
I was almost asleep when I heard the keys dangling from outside the door. I sat up quickly. Who was it? Why so late? The door opened and it was Ferdinando again. This time there was a handcuff in his hand. He first stood at the door. It was like he wanted to have a change of heart and go back or something, but I guess he changed his mind and walked up to me with heavy foot step. I wasn't scared that he was going to attack me or something. I knew if he was here, it was because he was asked to. “Why?” That was the only question I could think about. I knew he wouldn't hurt me, because I was in Alonzo's house, it didn't mean I trusted him. So I had to reconfirm. Just to be sure. “You’ll know when you get there. I shouldn't be having little talks with you miss”. “What? What the f**k do you mean?” He didn't speak again. This time, my heart had begun to hammer a little harder in my chest. When he tried to lift me up, I shifted back. “No, I'm going no where”. I said still moving back. “ You tell me right this moment, where I'm going to or I'll scream”. “ Don't make it harder than it is Miss”. He got up the bed and picked me up on his shoulder like a sack. “Put me down! Put me the f**k down.” My voice had gone higher than before “I don't want to go with you”. But he didn't listen. He carried me out the door on his shoulders. “Let me down now! Or I'll scream”. He didn't reply. I screamed and yelled all through the walk but he wouldn't listen or bulge. He walked down to the next wing if the house, the amount of guards standing by this corner had increased, and they all stood there staring at me like some crazy old lady screaming her lungs out. Then curved into a corner, leading to an underground room. What was it with these men and underground houses. The way down there, was almost darkbut not completely dark. There were just few touches around to illuminate the part but I couldn't see clearly the surrounding how it looked. But one thing I knew was that the environment was unplastered bricks giving this old castle vibes. It seemed cozy. I had stopped screaming and decided to just watch and see what it was about. His shoulders were beginning to hurt my belly. And all of a sudden the walk seemed extremely long. “I need to get down my stomach hurts”. I whispered. But he wouldn't still saw a word. “Hey! Physco can you hear anything thing I said?” Still nothing. Not a word. Then the doors to that room got open. And I was finally dropped to my feet. Before l could turn around, he had closed the door behind me and vanished. I was left alone, standing in the half lighted room with just a dim red bulb flashing so little at the end of the room. I noticed a chair at the middle of the room, but I couldn't see if anybody was there. It seemed almost impossible to see in here without straining your eye. And I was already overstraining mine. “Heyyyy!!! Hello!! Anyone here?” Then the chair turned to face me. That was when I saw the shadows or a man sitting there so comfortably. His both legs were spread apart with something like a stick he was holding at the top, in-between his legs. Then he pressed on something and the lights came up. Not completely, but enough to see clearly. And there he was, sitting like a mini god in the room, basking and enjoying the darkness like he belonged there. It was the first time I carefully looked at him. And if I was to rate putting my hate aside, I'd say he was damn! Handsome. He had this sharp, angular features with a jawline that could have been chiseled from the edges of granite. With a strong commanding presence that spoke of power and authority, that I could clearly see even in the shadows of this underground lair. Right from our first encounter, his eyes has always been his most striking feature. One I didn't think I would forget in a hurry– deep, piercing, and the color of winter. They looked and stared at me each time like they had underlying wrath that was yet to be unleashed. From the last time he came so close to me, he had a slight stubble that shadowed his face, and was a rugged contrast to the silkiness of his dark hair, which I noticed, was still damp. Probably from him showering and they fell carelessly over his forehead. He had this look that was dangerous yet irresistible. And to me, it was a dangerous combination. A combination that would keep everyone on edge. Because it was clearly obvious that he was a force to be reckoned with, and his face was a testament to the power of the man he was. Then he pressed another button n the chair he sat on and a light flashed across the room on a small stage with a pole on it. The he picked up a blunt on the little tray by the side of the chair, lit it on and beckoned on me to come close without saying a word. When I walked up to him, half scared but refusing to show it, he blew up the smoke in my face. The smell of tobacco feeling my lungs. “You said earlier, that you..” he took another puff of smoke before continuing with his word “That you entertain”. I didn't reply just waited for him to continue with his speech. “I need a performance.” He pointed across the room. “Give me reasons to believe you weren't in cohot with the enemies”. Cohot with the enemies? Did I f*****g look like a member of a cartel. Or a drug pin. Why the f**k would I side with them. Besides I knew nothing about any issues you had with them. Gosh! I rolled my eyes in my head. How did he think? When I walked over to the stage I saw a little outfit laying there. It was red. Guess he was obsessed with the color red. The previous lingerie he sent was red and now this.
