Damn!!
I rolled my eyes even harder again.
You can't blame me.
I felt irritated and disgusted.
But well…… He's the boss.
“Eve”
Oh f*****g kill me. The hairs on my body rose out of disgust as he said my name.
“Evelyn to you sir. Only my friends call me Eve”. Then I looked him dead in the eyes.
He didn't speak. Luckily for him though.
Because I was so f*****g ready for this banter.
After what seemed like an eternity of wasting my time, he cleared his throat and continued.
“Evelyn” then I nodded my head liking he took my corrections very seriously. “You'd be leaving with Lydia. Some important clients asked for you girls to come for a house party that was held in one of their farm houses at the edge of town. And it's already getting late, Micheal would drop you both off. Some of our girls are already there. They need more so I'm taking you both instead”.
“Okay” I just replied and turned back, about to leave when his voice made me pause “I've been getting really bad reports about you from clients lately in the club”.
I slowly turned. Looking at him.
Yeah that was true. I never knew they'd report directly to the office. Oh f**k! I rolled my eyes a little again.
“I'm taking this chance with you Evelyn. Be of your best behavior. You could get really good tip if you dance well today. Don't f**k this up”.
I didn't bother to reply or act like I heard whatever he said, I just turned around and left.
Lydia was at my back trying her hardest to reach up to me but I didn't care I just moved fast till my legs carried me to the front of the clubhouse where a car was parked waiting for us already.
I kept quite through out the whole ride.
My mind going from one scene to another till it finally stopped on the one thing I've tried to bury and move past for the past two weeks which was Alonzo.
Why hadn't he reached out?
Was I now free?
Or was he bidding his time carefully waiting for the right time till when he'd pop out again and make my life a living hell.
Every thought died the very second the engine was put off at the house of one of this unknown client.
It was evident, he was one of them.
I mean, one of the Big boys.
Everything screamed luxury.
Starting from the black electronic gates that opened by itself once you verified who you are.
Down to the drive way that led up the front of the farm house that wasn't just a house, it looked like a haven ment for just the gods to reside in.
The land itself was very beautiful and clean, it had wild flowers growing in sections around the house giving it this uniqueness.
The air around was also neat and welcoming.
The outside of the house was quite. There was no lights coming from inside the building it self.
The only lights present was the bright bulb of the street lights that brightened from the miles back down to this walk way leading to the house.
“Here, follow me”. A man dressed in casual white tees and pants walked up to us, the moment he saw us get down the car. I think he was one of his bodyguards. But unlike others he didn't wear a suit.
Micheal didn't come with us. He remained in the car watching us a we left.
His job was done. Lydia walked up close to me. I didn't know if she was scared or just couldn't walk alone.
Me on the other hand, wasn't feeling it. Like what was the worst that could happen. I've already lived some of my worst days. So I guesed nothing scared me anymore.
We walked passed the a big garage that had fleets of exotic looking cars. All parked in different directions down to what looked like an underground housing.
No wonder I didn't hear a sound from outside the house.
It was all happening here.
This wasn't my first time coming to parties held by one of them but…. Unlike the others that held the parties in apartments or their houses, this one was different.
We went into the under house, with Lydia right clinging towards my arm like a scarred puppy.
She had always been a scared little one. But she'd been in this game for almost two years now. It felt like it was time she grew up and got used to the life.
We were shown another corner where our outfit for the night was given to us.
Just a g-string pantie a n****e cover and a tiny net that serves as a host for our legs with new pair of heels.
We quickly changed and climbed on the stage.
My mood for that night was already soured so I really didn't care. I just wanted to get this done with, take my money and go back home into my covers.
I saw nothing from up there. My eyes just focused on the light above as I moved, swinging tirelessly.
I tried to free my mind from everythought so that my body wouldn't be stiff, because I couldn't afford anymore bad report to the office and I felt my bones less tensed.
I was still on the pole, when all of a sudden what we heard just right outside the door was a loud gunshot followed by a loud bang on the metal door.
The bang came again, and again till the door came crashing down in a very loud ear deafening metallic crash.
The screams that followed along were loud and scary as a body came rolling down the stairs after the door fell. When I looked at it from the distance I was at, it looked like the body of the guy who had just ushered I and Lydia to the party.
Then the screams became more, as the men inside the party and outside started exchanging bullets.
I quickly got down from the pool stage and went towards that a black sofa that was right behind me trying to use it as my shield.
What the hell!!!
