Chapter 5 transformation revelation

It is 10 minutes until midnight so Caroline decides to get up from bed and start heading towards the Changing Circle. "I have twelve minutes to get to the Circle, undress, and..."

Caroline. "Who said that?" she asks while looking all around her. Seeing nothing but the lights that line the trail to the Circle she continues on.

Hey Caroline, the voice says again.

Picking up the pace, Caroline hears, "Hey silly it's me Vixen, your wolf."

"My wolf", replies Caroline.

How is it that I can hear you? I have not shifted yet.

It is your birthday. Everyone can hear their wolf on their changing day. The difference is that you only get two minutes to get used to having a second voice in your head while most have all day to adjust to it.

Actually, we are always with you. From the time that the Goddess Selene sends us to be born until we return to her to walk amongst the flower fields.

As you enter the Changing Circle you notice the entire pack as well as Sir Henry are patiently waiting for their future alpha's arrival. You stand there in awe of the situation when suddenly from behind you Auntie Luna Margret tells you in a quieted harsh voice, " Get a move on it. There is only a minute before the change begins."

As Caroline and the twins get into position, Vixen tells her not to fight the pain and to allow it to flow through you and she is sorry.

"Sorry for what," Caroline starts to ask but when she goes to speak the sss orry she is thrown to the ground. It is the most excruciating pain that she has ever in her life felt. s**t Vixen is all that you think when the most gruesome noise emanates from you. It is the sound of your bones breaking and reshaping one by one. Cracking and crunching causing you to scream out in pain. It is not your voice that you hear but the growl of an animal.

I wish my mother was here you tell Vixen. She always made everything better. A stray tear rolls down your cheek.

Try to relax it is almost over. It will be easier on you, I promise. The next time that we shift you will not feel a thing at least not like now.

No sooner than Vixen says that you hear the boys start to scream.

The crowd along with Auntie and Uncle wait patiently for the future Alphas to complete the metamorphosis into wolves. When suddenly there is an O.M.G. heard above the screams of the twins.

It comes out of the mouth of a young girl in the front row.

Frightened, you turn around to face Auntie and Uncle that were still waiting for the twins to finish transforming.

Only then did you notice that every single person in the crowd was slowly getting down on one knee. Even Auntie and Uncle.

Vixen, who is here? Can you tell? What is going on? Should we kneel? Can we kneel?

Caroline, Vixen says in a proud tone. They are down on their knees for Us.

Ooos and ahhs are heard throughout the crowd.
