To Caroline's surprise, Margret was waiting for her when she came out of the shower.
I have the dress team waiting for you in your room Caroline. I just wanted to personally deliver this dress, a beautiful black sparkly evening gown with a split clear up to the waist.
I have been waiting for this moment to give this dress to you. It had belonged to your mother when she was 18. She always intended for you to have it.
I have been keeping it for you until you turned 18. I don't think that she would be upset that I gave it to you a day early. I insist that you wear it when you come down for dinner.
Auntie Luna, why are you being so nice to me all of a sudden? You have treated me less than dirt for the past eight years. Now you would think that I am the Queen of the kingdom or something. What gives Auntie?
With a barely audible snicker, Auntie Luna says," Just be down to the dining room at six sharp. I will not have you embarrass me in front of our guests tonight.
Make sure that you borrow my makeup and perfume.
With that Margret turned and headed to the Alpha floor.
Caroline heads to her room only to find a dozen women in there waiting on her.
After being dressed and her hair and makeup done by the Omegas, something that has never occurred since well, ever Caroline asks to speak to her friend Lisa alone.
Lisa an Omega, who also happens to be Caroline's best and only friend just happened to be one of the werewolves assigned to get Caroline ready for dinner.
Lisa!! Caroline exclaimed after everyone else had left the room.
Do you have any idea of what is going on here tonight?
I honestly do not, she replied. All that I know Liney is that we were told to get you dressed and to make sure that you looked beautiful for dinner tonight. Not that we had to do much since you are gorgeous even without the fancy dress and makeup.
I was actually shocked when I heard Luna tell us to get you ready for dinner.
This is something that I would have expected from the Alpha to order as he after all has always treated you like a daughter.
Anyway, Liney, are you ready to finally meet your wolf tonight? I bet she is the most stunning wolf around.
You do know that our wolf is a reflection of us and much more. I have a feeling that she is going to be different because I have never met anyone with as blond hair as you have.
I bet she will be the most gorgeous blond wolf around as well as the largest wolf. As she is an Alpha female unlike your Aunt Margret who was the second born Beta female in her pack.
To tell you the truth as your friend, if she ever found out that I told you what I am about to tell you, I would be sent into exile, never to see my family again. It is rumored that Alpha Rodger had intended to be mated to your mother, not your aunt. Alpha Rodger and your mother were high school sweethearts. They thought for sure that they would be bonded together as mates. Alas, that wasn't the case as you well know.
Luna Margret was over the moon to share a mate bond with Alpha Rodger as she has always had a crush on him.
Alpha Rodger not so much. He was so truly in love with your mother that he was willing to give up the pack so that he could marry her instead of honoring the mate bond with Margret. On the other hand, your mother did not want to live with the fact that they would have been made rogue wolves.
Alpha Rodger's parents laid down the law. This meant that if Rodger chose to defy the Goddess Selene then he would have most definitely been exiled and made to live as a rogue.
Rogue wolves are the most vile creatures that you could ever come across. Their scent alone causes an involuntary gag reaction.
Knowing how much the Alpha loved her she could not bring herself to run away with him. So reluctantly Alpha Rodger decided to marry your Aunt and Your mother waited to find her Goddess-given mate, your father Alpha William Michael Roberts of the Moonstone Pack.
Please don't ever let your Aunt know that I told you any of this. Seriously, it will be my head on a spike for sure.
