CHAPTER 18 Catherine stood alone in the cottage's small living room, leaning against the wall. Trying to relax, she closed her eyes and thought about the day. How could she possibly find the wee-folk alone? She stepped into the sun, which made her feel warm and cozy. Her mind wandered to her childhood house with the surrounding gates, and her family name in bold capital letters that read 'GREEN.' She could remember the sound the gates made when swinging open, and the smell of the freshly cut grass filled her nose. Then her thoughts shifted to fields of green, how they seemed to go on and on until they disappeared into the horizon.
