Present Day - Wednesday Evening, 8 PM The abandoned subway station beneath Brooklyn feels like descending into the earth's forgotten places. Elena leads them through tunnels that haven't seen passenger trains in decades, their footsteps echoing off tiled walls covered in decades of graffiti and neglect. Sophie walks between Aria and Marcus, her hand in each of theirs, but her eyes are bright with curiosity rather than fear. "This is where the trains used to sleep," she observes, looking at the rusted tracks. "Something like that," Elena replies, checking her military-grade phone for the third time in five minutes. Leon's wheelchair navigates the uneven platform with difficulty, but he refuses offers of help with the stubborn pride of someone trying to prove he's not completely broken
