Taken by the River

Chapter one: The camping trip

   I was running through the woods trying to get away from the infuriated psycho killer behind me. My legs and arms are getting scratched by briars and sticks but I know I have to keep running. " YOU STUPID LITTLE b***h GET BACK HERE BEFORE YOU REGRET IT", my captor yelled behind me. I ignored his calls and kept running through the woods they were just a blur as I ran through them until I fell. I felt a sharp piercing pain on my right ankle and look down at it I was horrified there was a bear trap clamped on my ankle I screamed and I knew I was trapped I would never get away from this monster. Then I heard him running up to me and stopping right at my feet I looked at him he had a shotgun in his right hand a smirked at me, " I told you that you would regret running from me" then he hit me in the face with the butt of his shotgun knocking me out.   

                                                                               A year before     

     I woke up from my nightmare with my alarm clock blaring letting me know it's time to get up for school. I groggily get out of bed and slumped into my bathroom I looked in the mirror and my purple hair was every where I looked like Albert Einstein. My name is Megan White I'm 5"6' with purple hair that goes down to my shoulders and my skin is a peachy color. I turn to my stand up shower and turn on the water then I go back into my room and grab my black skinny jeans and a purple shirt, under ware, and bra. I headed back into my bathroom and got undressed and got in my shower and started singing 'The box by Roddy Rich' it was my favorite song. After about 15 minutes I get out the shower and get dressed and brush and blow dry my hair I head back into my room an put on some socks and my white vans. I went and sat down at my white vanity putting on some mascara and some clear lip gloss. my hair is naturally straight so I didn't need to flat iron it. Right as I grab my pink adidas bookbag my mom calls me, " Megan get down here before you are late to school". I run down the stairs grab an apple and tell my parent bye. I rush out the front door and unlock my white Mercedes before I pull out my driveway I check my phone and call my bestfriend Alyssa, " Hey girl I cant wait to go to Kaleb's party tomorrow night" I yelled over the phone as I pull out my driveway and started heading school. It took about 20 minutes to get to school but it didn't seem that long cause I was talking to Alyssa about Kaleb's party she was telling me what she was gonna wear and insisting that me and her should match I just rolled my eyes even though she couldn't see. When I pulled up to the school and parked.

  As soon as I walked into the doors I saw Alyssa flirting with a football player then she turned to me and smiled and ran up to me squealing," you will not believe what just happened".

  "what", I said rolling my eyes.

   "Jackson just asked me to go to the party with him" Alyssa was squealing jumping up and down.                   I grabbed her hands and we started jumping together, then I looked at her, "then who am I going with?"

   "you can go with Kaleb I can tell he has been checking you out lately", she said wiggling her eyebrows.

    I laughed a little, "The day Kaleb asks me out is the day I give you my car".

    "Who is giving who a car", me and Alyssa turned around to face a hot 6" foot, blond hair, blue eyed, captain of the football team; Kaleb. I literally started drooling.                                                                                        "  W-we w-w-were j-just saying" I started stuttering.   

    " We were just saying the day you ask Megan to your party she would give me her car", she said innocently. I shot her a glare and my face was turning all kinds of shades of red.

   " well Alyssa I think its your lucky day you might get yourself  a Mercedes", he laughed.

    I looked at Kaleb with excitement in my eyes and he looked at me," Megan Taylor White will you be my date to my party tomorrow". 

   My eyes widened into saucers," y-yes yes ill go with you".

   He smiled at me," great I'll pick you up at 6?"

    " yea sure", I tried to say as calmly as I could. Then the bell rang.

    "Alright see ya tomorrow meg", smiled and went to his class.

    Me and Alyssa turned to each other and squealed  and headed to our classes. 

   School went by so slow I just couldn't wait for it to end. when the final bell rang I rushed to my locker and put everything in it. It was Friday so I didn't have to worry about homework. I started  heading to the gym for our cheerleading assembly cause today was the last day for cheer. I sat next to Alyssa and waited for it to get over.

 When the super long boring assembly was over I got in my car and went home. I couldn't wait to pick out an outfit and paint my nails for the party tomorrow. As soon as I went in the house my mom called me, " Megan come in the living room we are having a family meeting".

" yes ma'am" I knew if I told her no she would take my phone away. when I walked in the living room my little sister Cristy was sitting in the armchair he was 12 years old with brunette hair and unlike mine her hair is naturally curly she had freckles all over her face she may seem angelic to my parents buy really she is a brat. I looked at the couch and my mom was sitting next to my dad my mom is 35 and she has long blonde hair and she also has freckles all on her face which is where my sister gets the from. My dad on the other hand had short to no hair he was my favorite parent he really didn't care what I did as long as I had good grades and did my chores.

 "Sit down Megan" my dad said. I sat down on the couch next to my parents and I looked at them. " so since your mother an I are out of work Monday due to labor day we decided to go on a camping trip this weekend".

  " But dad you said I could go to Alyssa's this weekend me and her were gonna get mani pedis",  it was a lie but still.

  "I know and I'm sorry but your mom and me want us all to spend family time together ill make it up to you Meg I promise", my dad looked at me.

  " Whatever" , and I stormed up to my room. I was so mad I just went to bed and didn't even eat dinner ill just have to tell Kaleb that I have to go camping ugh so gross I hate camping all it is, is bugs and sleeping on the hard ground ugh my life is ruined.
