Kelly turned back and saw Meghan with Taylor. "Do you think she overheard us?" Taylor asked. Kelly frowned. "Yes. I heard." She replied firmly. She promised herself not to cry now. "Mother--" "--call me that again and I will teach you a cruel lesson." Said Meghan. She had already said Kelly called her 'ma'am'. "Is that important now?" Kelly said and Meghan looked surprised. "You told me not to have any children yet. You said you weren't ready to be a grandma yet, even though I begged you because I love kids and wanted some of my own." Kelly said bitterly. "Why?" A cold smile formed on Meghan's face. "Why? Do you think a village girl like you is worthy enough of raising Grays heir? The future owner of Grayson bank, you think whatever creature that will come out of your stomach is worthy of that title? Ha!" "So that's why you have wanted brother to find a new bride soon." Taylor said. A new bride?? "Of course yes. This low life creature is not worth it. She was never worth my son's love even from the beginning. If it wasn't for your father's foolishness in blessing their marriage, may his soul rest in peace." Meghan said. Kelly stared at them with disbelief. Anger coursed through her veins now. A new bride?? "Justin will be here soon, so you better be back inside by then. Also, I need someone to wash my special dish but I don't trust the maid with it. It's very expensive." Meghan said. "Oh the one you got from Saudi Arabia?" Taylor said. Kelly still stood still and watched them as they walked away still talking. She needed fresh air. As she walked down the streets, feeling cold and alone, a million thoughts ran through her mind. She began to ask herself what the point of her marriage had been when cold dirty water splashed on her. She groaned out in anger and disgust. It was dark but the street lights brightened everywhere so she could see it was someone from a blue expensive looking ride that had splashed water on her dress with his reckless driving! The car stopped and a tall man in a fitted suit and dark shades walked out of it. A charming grin was playing on his lips as he walked forward. Kelly began to wonder whether he was sent to kidnap her or something. The man stopped opposite her. Taking his shades off, she noticed his eyes were sparkling green like the color of some rare gems she had seen online. Green eyes? His squinting eyes were dangerously attractive. Kelly realized she liked this man, physically. He dressed so lovely, groomed his hair nearly...even the way he walked was so gentlemanly. "Are you alright, lady?" He asked in a soothing sweet voice. "Thank goodness you weren't putting on a white dress, otherwise that would not have gone well for you." He chuckled. Kelly's face flustered red in anger. "You should be apologizing, not trying to condemn." "I'm sorry but why would you wear a dinner dress and be here out on the streets walking like a ghost. I sped off because I thought you were a lost spirit or something. Did you see how you walked? Like you were dead but can't believe you are. Kinda something from a horror movie." Kelly's eyes widened at the way this man was speaking to her! "Rich people, you're all the same. Proud and arrogant!" "How would you know I'm rich just by looking at me?" The man frowned. "Audemars Piguet brand of wristwatch, Dormeuil house for the suits, Loafer slips and this bad boy Austin Martin SUV." Kelly said proudly. "All worth millions." Logan had looked so shocked. Then impressed all of a sudden. This woman was something else. Why was he feeling like he'd met her before? "Please, don't kidnap me. I promise they're not as expensive as you think." He teased, acting like he was scared. The lady only rolled her eyes. "Tell me, what is the name of my abductor?" Asked Logan. "If you'll excuse me, I'll be leaving now." She said firmly. Logan continued to stare at her so intently...as if a memory of her would pop up in his head somehow. Blonde hair, big brown eyes, red full lips in a long dark dinner dress. Who was she? "Excuse me? Did you not hear me?" He heard the lady speak again. "What?" "I said," the lady started to say, "you owe me an apology. For this mess!" She was pointing to her dress. Logan could barely see the 'mess' though. "Here, take my handkerchief. I'll let you have it." He said, pressing the blue piece to her hand. She was struggling as he forced it on her that somehow her leg slipped and she nearly slid to the floor, but Logan grabbed her quickly, firm hands gripping her waist. Her eyes widened as he held her, his body pressed on her somehow. "I got you." He said. She pushed herself away from him and was now on the floor as she had kicked her foot on a stone and tripped. Logan sighed. "How can you be so stubborn?" He was walking toward her now to help her, but she jumped back on her feet and stepped back again. "Careful, you'll trip again." "Thank you for trying to help by touching my breast!" The lady said. Logan raised a brow, feeling his cheeks grow hot. "What now? I was only trying to help you!" He protested but the lady would not listen. He threw the handkerchief to her face. "There, you'll need it now." "Whatever." The lady growled and brown eyes flared like she was about to pounce on him. Logan frowned and shook his head. And there he was thinking the lady was pretty enough for him to work with him on his plan. "I hope you didn't hurt your leg." He said. "I'm fine." She muttered. Or maybe he could still work with her...she still seemed like the right woman…somehow. "Let's meet again. What is your name?" He asked. The lady scoffed. "I'm a married woman. So stop flirting already. You know what, I'm leaving now." Logan looked amused. "Flirting? Why would I flirt with you, you're not even that pretty!" But she was already walking away. "What a strange lady..." He found himself saying. On getting back home, Kelly muttered curses as her dress was already ruined. Somehow, luck was on her side as no one noticed her. She went upstairs to change her clothes but decided to stay up there a while. She was invisible anyway. Who would notice her absence? She picked a book and continued from where she'd stopped . Anything to take her mind off her hellish marriage. Justin would find her here, and explain to her what Meghan had meant. Justin would come back to apologize to her. After a while, the door barged open and a slender lady walked in, along with Justin. He brought that w***e back?? "Taylor said you made mother angry." Justin said. "Are you crazy?" Kelly was shaking with rage now. "What is she doing here?" "That's not important." Justin said angrily. The lady left his side and opened Kelly's wardrobe and began to pour her clothes out. "I need to find something to change into they're all red rags!" The lady cried out. "Lisa, can you please head downstairs? I'll have Kelly bring you her most expensive dresses for you to choose from, alright?" Justin said. Kelly stared with shock. And anger. The lady pouted and left the room. Justin had more time to begin to scold her. Somehow, she felt she had cried all the tears in eye out already. How dare this man and his family treat me like trash? She remembered the words of her mother in law, telling her she was not worth their love. How dare they, after all she had done for them? Justin was still muttering on when she said with a cold gaze, "I want a divorce." It certainly shut Justin up. "What?" "You heard me. I want a divorce, Justin!"
