Scene 1

217 Words
Wind blows calmly as Lux can be seen sitting at the edge of the rooftop and watching people who are roaming around below when suddenly, a man named Psalm pops up beside her and speaks with his calm voice. PSALM: Are you here to kill yourself? *eyes are to the people below* LUX: *hesitating* What if I say yes? PSALM: Is your life harder than her? *points out a grandma sleeping in the street below* Ah... You're tired. You're not okay. You're giving up because it's hard. You just want to end it now. You can't handle it anymore. If that so, *looks to Lux* why are you living in the first place? LUX: They need me.... *looks to Psalm* The world needs me. PSALM: You didn’t understand my question. I didn’t ask the world, I asked only you. LUX: *eyes on the sky, thinking* I am living because I can't die. Simple as that. PSALM: May I know your name? LUX: *chuckle* Wait, are you trying to change the topic? *Psalm walks away* Why are you leaving? *following Psalm* Okay, fine. I'm Lux. And you? PSALM: *faces Lux* You have the best reason to live now, Lux. LUX: And what is that? PSALM: You met me. Simple as that. *smirks* End of Scene 1
