“Sel, my baby.” My mom rushed to embrace me when she saw me standing at the doorstep of my parents’ house.
“How are you, Mom?” I asked her, loosely wrapping my hands around her.
“I am fine, but I am surprised to see you. I knew Alpha Sebestian was coming to the meeting but we weren’t expecting you.” She said, surprise and happiness were visible on her face. Her eyes were beaming.
I remembered Sebestian’s words. I should give them a chance. It was true that they pushed me away, but I also never tried to fill the rift between us.
“Please, come inside. I have baked some fresh cookies. They are your favorite coconut and hazelnut cookies. You used to steal the whole batch when you were a kid.” She said telling me about my childhood.
