“I don’t think you should meet him, Anna.” Sebestian spoke after a momentary pause.
His expression changed. I regretted thinking I might have scratched some old wounds. So, I placed my hand on his nape and massaged it gently.
“Is there anything that you want to tell me?” I softly asked him, but he remained quiet.
“Sebestian, sometimes it’s better to let go of your pain, your resentment towards someone. Someone with whom you feel safe, someone whom you can trust. I won’t pressurize you but I really want you to feel happy. Holding onto past only gives us pain and suffocates us.”
