“Now that’s more like it.” I smiled as I turned away from the two groaning people who were lying on the floor, surrounded by their own pool of blood.
“Your Highness”, Caspian called beside me, panting heavily. I patted his shoulders as I smiled in understanding, I had left them behind, and they had to race all the way here.
“Get me the Alpha of the Luperci’s Pack”, I stated and he bowed and moved away. Few minutes later, Caspian returned, his steps measured, unwavering. Beside him walked a man who, despite his battered and bloodied appearance, carried the unmistakable aura of an Alpha.
