Chapter 5: Masters of the Dojo

1472 Words
Brian blinked, his eyes filled with confusion. He just complained about being poor, and the system immediately gave him a task? Hiss~~ This doesn't seem right! "System, if I can't complete it within three hours, will there be any punishment?" Brian asked with suspicion. In system novels, if you couldn't complete the task, there were usually some damn punishments, and he didn't want to fall into that trap. System: ??? "Host, do you have delusions of being harmed? This system is not like those sexy bitches in novels. This system is only responsible for issuing tasks. Whether they are completed or not is irrelevant to the system, after all, it's not the system that incurs the loss, and if the host can't complete it, isn't the host the one who suffers the most?" Whether it was an illusion or not, in the system's crisp and tender voice, Brian heard a thick disdain and speechlessness, and he felt so embarrassed that he wanted to dig a three-bedroom apartment on the floor. Novels can really harm people! But this system was quite humane, giving him a task right after he cried poor. What was this? A crying child has milk to drink? Despite his internal ridicule, Brian didn't slow down his pace. He quickly reached the stairs and ascended to the fourth floor. 500 points ah! That's a lot of points! Brian didn't plan to let them slip away; he had to take them down! Upon reaching the fourth floor, Brian didn't notice at first, but he quickly realized that something was wrong! Why were all the corpses lying in the corridor, and why were they all one-hit kills, with heads exploding? Not only was the force brutal, but also the striking position was the same. All signs indicated that this was an expert! An expert in the administration building? ...... "One hit, one kill, deadly moves!" Brian surveyed the bodies on the fourth floor, noticing that each had been struck fatally in the temple, leaving the insides of their heads mushed. Clearly, there was a pro around! This kind of precision and force couldn't come without extensive training. Although he couldn't match that level, his approach was direct, using sheer power to smash the zombies' heads, while the other person used technique. After circling the fourth floor, Brian's gaze finally settled on a sliding door. "The Kendo Club?" He looked up at the three large characters on the door, suddenly realizing. If it was someone from the Kendo Club, with long-term practice, they could achieve one-hit kills with precise strikes. Glancing at the two bodies on the ground, Brian turned away from the Kendo Club and headed towards the stairs to the fifth floor. The Kendo Club's experts were none of his concern. As long as he didn't provoke them, Brian couldn't be bothered. His current task was to clear out the zombies in the administration building. The task had a three-hour time limit, and it had already been over ten minutes. The sooner he completed it, the better. With his Tang sword in hand, he arrived on the fifth floor. The corridor was quiet, with bloodstains on the clean floor and walls, and scattered zombies wandering aimlessly, emitting occasional low growls. A few minutes later, the entire fifth floor quieted down, leaving only a few scattered zombies lying on the ground, headless. Stepping on the blood-stained stairs, Brian ascended to the sixth floor. Before he even stepped off the stairs, he heard the commotion coming from the corridor. The roars of zombies, screams of the living, and banging of doors mixed together, creating a piercing cacophony. Living people here? The thought flashed through Brian's mind as he couldn't help but glance at the stairs leading to the rooftop. He witnessed the walls covered in bloody handprints and large bloodstains, and even a few bodies trampled to death on the stairs, all of which made him understand why there were screams of the living on the sixth floor. Upon returning to the sixth floor, Brian approached the corridor, scanning left and right. A large number of zombies piled up on both sides, numbering at least dozens. These zombies were crazily pounding on the tightly closed room doors, each impact accompanied by piercing screams full of despair and collapse. Brian shook his head, not knowing how to evaluate. "Why are you making so much noise? Afraid there aren't enough zombies outside, or they're not dying fast enough?" he sarcastically commented to the zombies. While zombies' vision might be blurry, their hearing was definitely normal. Shouting so loudly, were they just asking to die faster? "Is shouting so loud really useful? Shouting until you're hoarse will only make the zombies more excited!" Yet, as he looked ahead at the densely packed zombies, completely unaware of what was behind them, Brian couldn't help but smile. "Thanks for drawing the firepower!" As dozens of zombies charged towards him, he only had to retreat. The corridor was too narrow to fight in. Advancing quickly with his sword in hand, Brian swiftly passed through the horde of zombies, arriving behind them. His sword swung like the wind, with each strike inevitably resulting in a zombie's head flying off, blood gushing out like a fountain. With each dull thud, headless bodies fell, and at the same time, a series of notifications echoed in Brian's mind. "[Killed ordinary zombie, points +1, current points 74]" "[Killed ordinary zombie, points +1, current points 101]" Brian's movements were swift and deadly, the zombies hadn't even had time to react before he cleared them all out, leaving the corridor littered with bodies. With this side of zombies taken care of, Brian turned to another area. He didn't have time to deal with the students hiding in the activity room now. Perhaps because the screams from the activity room were too ear-piercing, attracting all the zombies' attention, Brian almost effortlessly cleared out all the zombies on the sixth floor. The simplicity of it made him feel somewhat unreal. "[Killed ordinary zombie, points +1, current points 135]" As the last body fell, the zombies on the sixth floor were all cleared out. Brian glanced at the tightly closed door of the activity room in front of him, without turning back, he left directly. The zombies couldn't break through that door at all, and it seemed to be blocked by furniture inside. He wasn't interested in the students in there now; the most important thing was to clear out the zombies below the third floor, and also... Also take a look at that expert who came out of the Kendo Club! He just remembered, the Kendo Club seemed to have a pro! Quite a famous one! Rina Aihara! The granddaughter of Sword Saint Aihara, the captain of the Kendo Club, won the national Kendo championship last year, and is worshipped by countless people. The name of the goddess was not just an empty title; Rina Aihara not only had amazing strength, but also an icy beauty that made her the object of admiration for many, her noble and elegant demeanor making it impossible for people to look directly at her, leaving countless students feeling inferior. There were even many who chose to enter the art academy because of Rina Aihara, making the school famous and attracting a large number of transfer students. For Rina Aihara, Brian had only heard of her, and had not seen her. After all, he had just crossed into this world three days ago, and had not joined the Kendo Club, so it wasn't surprising. As he crossed several floors to the second floor, before he even stepped out into the corridor, he heard the roar of zombies. "Roar~" The smell of blood hit him, and Brian swung his sword, swiftly killing the zombies that rushed towards him, emitting a series of dull thuds. Swinging his sword continuously, several nearby zombies were cleared out. After doing all this, Brian looked to his left. The stairs leading down were on the left, and at the end of the corridor was only about twenty meters away, with only a few dozen zombies. After clearing out these dozen or so zombies, he could safely leave. Brian breathed a sigh of relief, turning to look back at the corridor. At the end of the corridor, a black-haired girl in a black school uniform was wielding a wooden sword, weaving through the crowd of zombies, agilely striking down each one with her blade. Behind her followed a mature woman with pale white long hair, dressed in a white blazer and a black pencil skirt, outlining her stunning curves. Her fast-paced steps seemed to stir up a storm. Seeing the black-haired girl in the blue school uniform leading the way, a hint of admiration flashed in Brian's eyes. "Rina Aihara?"
