Isaac was fast asleep. I sighed as I looked at his wounded stomach, he didn't have a shirt on right now- his defined abs were in view at the moment.
It must hurt to have a knife plunged against your body, I slightly cringe as I look at the slits on his stomach. He was in so much pain last night.
He hasn't woken up ever since the moment he fainted.
Isaac starts to shuffle uncomfortably in the hard bed the hospital provided.
He groans as he starts to flutter his eyes, I look at him tiredly. I hadn't slept since that night- I was too concerned for his well being.
"I-Isabelle? What are you doing here?" he stutters as he looks at me in shock.
"For you of course." I respond. Finally he's awake, there were so many questions in my head that I was dying to ask him.
Isaac attempts to sit up straight but he fails, he clenches his jaw as his muscles tense.
I walk towards him and place his pillow straight. Then I help him sit up straight, he looks at me with his grey eyes astounded.
"You stayed for me?" he almost whispers as if he were talking to himself.
"Are you alright? Do you need water or anything?" I enquire as he shook his head.
"No." he states, "I'm alright." he glances at me once more.
"D-Did I tell you who s-stabbed me?" he enquires as if he was ashamed to have even get hurt.
"No." I reply, feeling sorry for him almost instantly. If it weren't for me getting the clue- he wouldn't have been in this position.
"It was--" Isaac was going to reveal the person but someone interrupted us.
"Isaac, are you alright?" I look at my cousin Quinn- she looks at him with concern.
I notice Isaac clenching his fists, he looks at her and forces a smile.
"I'm alright." he looks at me as if he was trying to tell me something.
Quinn looks at me, she sends me a smile- her smile wasn't genuine. "I would like to talk to Isaac in private." she looks at me and then she looks at the door.
Something didn't add up. I was going to leave but Isaac grabbed my hand.
He looks at me, almost as if he were pleading me to stay.
"Quinn may you get me a glass of water?" Isaac asks my cousin, she frowns before looking at me.
"Isabelle could get you a glass of water, so we can talk whiles she gets it." Quinn grits her teeth looking at Isaac.
Am I missing something? Did something happen between the two?
"I want some space." he says, looking at both Quinn and I.
"Fine, I'll get you a glass of water." she says harshly.
Isaac pulls me closer, "leave so she thinks I'm alone, return once she's gone." he whispers.
I nod my head as Quinn leaves the room.
"Aren't you going to give Isaac space?" Quinn glances at Isaac and I.
"Yeah." I look at Isaac once more before releasing his hand- I make my way out of the room, leaving Isaac alone.
I take a seat outside, Quinn looks at Isaac mischievously as if she was to do something- I look at her in suspicion.
Could it be that Quinn tried to kill Isaac? It can't be, they've been friends for so long, they're practically siblings. Quinn didn't seem like the one to hurt anyone, but yet I don't know.
She doesn't tell me things, every time I'd ask her about something she would tell me as time goes on it would be revealed to me.
She hasn't spoken to me a lot lately, I haven't heard a lot from her.
Once Quinn walks towards the opposite direction, I get up. I walk back inside the room Isaac is inside.
Isaac keeps a straight face as he looks at the wall in front of him, he didn't seem like himself.
"She's gone, what did you want to tell me?" I look at him, praying that he doesn't tell me the reasons for his injuries was because of Quinn.
"That night was a blur. One moment I was with you and the next moment the lights were out and I was dragged down to the attic." Isaac starts his story off, he takes a deep breath.
"At first I was confused, the person didn't say a word until they grabbed their weapon." Isaac closes his eyes, as if he didn't want to imagine the scene.
"She started to say things, things that I never expected. She said until the last petal falls- vengeance would be completed, but who on earth would kill their own blood?" Isaac continues.
"Quinn..." I whisper, my heart beat starts to quicken as I notice a shadow behind the door.
"Would you like some refreshments?" I noticed it was only a nurse, Isaac shakes his head.
The nurse leaves as he looks up at me.
"I don't think I'll last much longer, sooner or later I'll be buried 6ft under the ground- Quinn wants me dead, I've seen too much." he informs me, I shake my head.
"You can't go," I hold his hand, "Isaac, without you how else would I survive?" I say, my eyes start to water.
"As they say, the trouble is you think you have time." he mumbles. "It will be only a matter of time, everything gets revealed."
"I won't let her get to you." I clench my fists, "she would have to get through me to get to you." I look at the door of this room, there was a lock.
"Is she going to attempt to kill you here?" I ask him, he nods his head.
I walk towards the door and lock the door.
"It would be a matter of time she comes knocking on the door." Isaac looks at me shaking his head.
"You're speaking as if you want to die." I say as he shrugs his shoulders.
"Don't we all?" he murmurs.
"I'm calling Hunter." I finally say, Hunter could get rid of Quinn with Kayden.
Isaac shook his head, "Don't, she wants him dead too- it would be like killing two birds with one stone for her."
"Then who can I call?" I felt overwhelmed, there was no way out for Isaac.
"No-one, I suggest you should unlock that door and walk away as if you don't know me."
"B-But--" I try to explain that I don't want to leave but Isaac interrupts me.
"Why risk several lives over one? She wants you gone- she wants Hunter gone and she also wants Kayden gone, leave whiles you can." Isaac looks at me, before grabbing my hand.
"Once she gets rid of me, you'll slowly pick up what the truth." he pauses.
My eyes widen.
"You're t-th--"
"I'm the fourth clue, my death is required for the final clue." he mumbles before a ghost of a smile starts to form on his face.
"Fate is fate, at least I'll die knowing you're one step closer to finding out the truth."
I frown, "No, it doesn't have to happen like that- I heard that you could change the game Isaac, why don't you?" I plead, he doesn't say anything for a minute.
"Its too late, can't you understand?" he says frustrated, I groan as I hear the clicking of heels.
"Quinn." I gasp, Isaac looks at me.
"Leave now." Isaac says sharply, I nod my head.
I walk towards the door and unlock it.
Pulling out my phone, I stare at it.
Should I call someone or let him just die. I shook my head, there's no point of calling anyone.
I'll have to take things into my own hands.
"I'll see you later Isaac." I whisper as I walked out of the room giving him one last glance.
He sat on the hospital bed with his eyes closed, waiting for the end.
