Chapter Five

944 Words
"I presume you're ready?" Isaac shouts from his car, it was time to go to Hunters party- where Isaac supposedly believes I would find the third clue at. What he didn't know was that Hunter had already given me the third clue. The necklace which stated, until the last petal falls. I tuck the necklace into my shirt so Isaac doesn't see it, it would be better if I had revealed it in the party. I walk towards his car and enter as he smiles. "Took you long enough, it's going to be a long night- keep yourself awake." Isaac tells me as he starts up his car. I place on my seatbelt and look at him, I wonder what goes on inside his head. He spoke in riddles and expected me to understand him straight away. My phone vibrates suddenly, I sigh- it could possibly just be Kayden. I'll be waiting for you - X That's definitely not Kayden, from the corner of my eyes I notice Isaac driving. It can't be Isaac sending those messages, he's doing something right now. It can't be Kayden because he was there when we saw the writing on the book. I slightly shiver as I notice another message. Until the last petal falls, till then the vengeance will be completed - X What the hell? "Are you alright? You seem pale." Isaac murmurs, I fake a smile as I look at him. "Just cold." Until the last petal falls. I'm wearing the necklace that states that- till then the vengeance will be completed, the person who's texting me has to have murdered my cousin Valerie who had the surname of Rose. I also have the surname of Rose- but what about Quinn, my cousin? Isn't she a part of this. Is this person killing those with the surname of Rose? If so then I don't feel like going to the party- yet in order to find out the truth I have to go. Isaac parks his car as I look up, the house was rather large. "In the attic of the Beasts home- is where the clue lays." Isaac says as he links his arm with mine. "Why are you linking arms with me?" I ask Isaac, he smirks. "Who would let a rose walk alone?" My cheeks warm up, I turn my head away from him. I never let someone see me blush, it's utterly not me. "You don't even like Hunter, why would you even attend his party?" Isaac says nothing for a few seconds. "I would've not attended but I had to for you," he pauses. "I mean you need to find the clue, that's obviously why I'm here." Isaac stutters, something was off. It's as if he is only here for one reason, who would let a rose walk alone? His words ring in my head, is he trying to imply he's only with me for protection. Does he know about the person who wrote the note on the yellow book, the one who texted me twice? Does he know X? We walk into the house as I noticed something strange about the party. It wasn't the usual high school party you'd see. It was just loads of teens having genuine fun, there was no alcohol neither was there drugs. It seemed peculiar, at my old high school people would be grinding on each other and drinking alcohol for fun. I take the necklace out and made sure it was visible, my phone vibrates once again. Isaac's arm was linked with my left arm, I pull out my phone from my right pocket with my right hand. lights out - X I look around the place, lights ou- The light suddenly turns off, people start to scream as others laugh. Isaac releases my arm, "Isaac where are you?" I shout, he was nowhere near me. Suddenly I feel something pull on my neck. I couldn't breathe as the necklace is ripped off my neck. I reach out to my neck to touch it, I yelped in pain as I could hear the persons slow breathing right next to me. I shake as I felt a hand wrap around my waist. "Belle, is that you?" It was Hunters voice. The lights are suddenly turned back on, I look at Hunters face- his jaw was clenched as he looks at me. "Are you okay?" he asks, showing slight concern. "The necklace, it's gone." I stammer, how on earth would I find out the whole truth without it. I would have to look for the other clues and that would risk my life with this psychotic killer on the loose. My phone vibrates once again, Hunter grabs my phone and looks at the message. Once you start the game, you can never end it - X "That son of a bit--" Hunter was going to swear but I widened my eyes. "That means I have to find the other clues." I say slightly shaken from the event that occurred a few minutes ago. "Because once you start the game," Hunter pauses, "You can never end it." I look around the place, people were still having fun and talking to one and other. Isaac was nowhere to be seen, I frown- he said he wouldn't leave me alone. He said something about the clue being in the attic, would he perhaps be there? I attempt to walk away from Hunter but he pulls me back. "Where are you going, that psychotic person could be in the house still." Hunter says harshly. "But Isaac--" I was going to finish my sentence but Hunter interjected. "Forget about him,"
