Outside the training facility, I decided to let my wolf Maximo, go for a run around the trails by the pack house. As I shift into my wolf, I relax a bit. Letting him run free with nature is the least I could do for him. He wanted to be with our mate just as much as I did. To make her submit and be with us all the time. But he understood she wasn't ready at this time. We met her two years ago at a pack ball. She was beautiful. We didn't want to leave her that night. Wanting to take her from her family and mark her. To claim her.

Maximo is a large white grayish wolf with crystal clear blue eyes. As he shakes his fur and gets ready to take off he let's out a howl. A dominant howl. Thinking of his mate. Then takes off into a light run, towards the waterfall.

Surrounded by forest we are able to run free, the pack lands are large and spacious. With the biggest threat being the Rogues and random human hunters who believe we are like wolves portrayed in movies. They fear the unknown.

I feel Maximo slow down, taking in the scenery. When I notice he sees an older couple having a picnic by the small waterfall. They look up and notice their alpha then wave. Maximo turns around and runs back to the pack house.

Turning back into my human form, I walk inside grabbing some extra clothes from the bench. Going up stairs to my room I could sense someone was inside my room. It was her, my mate. Maximo was filled with excitement. I could feel she had a bad day.

I walk in slowly and lock the door. She walks out of my bathroom slowly with her head held down and long dark hair resting to her lower back. She looks up with a gentle smile and says, "Jason, I missed you." I go to her and wrap her into a hug. Just standing there with my arms wrapped around her I kissed the top of her head and replied the same, "I missed you too my little love. " I could sense her cheeks blushing on her olvie skin without looking up once. She just snuggles her face into my chest. As I hold her close, we just stand there.

It's been 3 weeks since she last showed up to me and it felt like an eternity. So I could just stand here holding her tightly for as long as she let me.
