CHAPTER 15: THE WEIRD FENG

The beam of light flashed and left two people who were weak and tired but still holding on to each other in front of the academy, "we are here let's get help before he can execute his plans and destroy us all" they dragged themselves towards the barrier of the academy with their wands in their hands soaked with blood,

When they got to the barrier they had no energy left and collapsed right beside the barrier, a passing student who observed the scene told the school squad of the trespassers behind the school barrier who reported to the principal.

Mr Nick along with Miss Niagal and Mr Helmond went to the barrier just to confirm the news, upon getting there the three adults were shocked,

"Isn't that Gerrard and Berlinda, why are they here I thought Silus held them captive" Mr Helmond said looking closely from behind the barrier "they must have escaped, and by the looks of things for them to sacrifice their lives like this they must have an important message" Mr Nick said while opening the barrier.

When the group stepped foot on the palace ground the guards on duty stopped them from getting closer to the entrance,

"Halt and state your name and purpose of your visit" the guard at the left hand side said to the group.

"We are the weird Feng sent here by Mr Nicholas Academia to see king Herondale on the phenomenal changes happening around the city" Gloria represented her group, after introducing their purpose a guard ran in and a while later he ran out whispering into the ear of the other guard.

"You have been invited into the palace by the king, you shall meet him in the conference hall" the guard that Gloria introduced herself to told them, a guard guide them inside towards the hall.

"Make sure your cloak covers your face well and hide your artifacts underneath your cloak we don't want to reveal our identity yet, till we are sure what is going on and when we battle Fred do not transform yet we need your powers for surprise attack " Gloria said whispering to her friends. Getting to the hall the guard told them to wait a little that the king will be with them shortly.

They stood in the hall checking the details, the well polished white marble floor and the wall painted gold with various maps pasted on each side of the wall and further into the hall was a stair that leads to the throne and behind the throne was a red velvet materials covering its entire wall, while they were still inspecting the hall the king came in with two people behind him.

The group bowed to honor his presence, "You guys need not the formalities, rise we should be the one who thank you for coming to save our world" the king said already sat on his throne,

"We are the weird feng from the spellbound academy and we are sent here by Mr Nicholas himself to help with the troubles this world is facing. First we will need you to tell us what is going on here and we will see how we can help" Gloria said to the king.

"It's been of recent when creatures that are unknown to us and immune to our mages powers started appearing and devouring our people, we have tried our best spells using waters when the full moon arise to curb the situation but it is of no use" Nelsia was jotting down the important point from the discussion.

"Is the creature of the confluence a recent monster too, and when did it too appear" Gloria was asking the king, the rest of the group could see the aura of confidence and seriousness exuding from her being, " normally when a monsters appear it takes a week before another appears but now they are just coming continually, we have to use teleportation spell to cross the river because of the creature that dwell in it. It detects even the smallest living being that roams above the river".

"Fear not we will help you guys from the creatures and the confluence creature exist no more" Gloria said to the king who looks at them in shock, "if you don't mind my words, I would say how can you have done this all by yourself, you guys are just students if I guess by your appearance, so how did you manage it" Gloria wasn't ready to give much to the king so she ignores the question and rather asked hers,

"Please do your academy still have a place for us, while we are here we want to further our education" "yes they will accept you guys, I have prepared a room fro you guys and new clothes will be sent to you to change into, so tomorrow you guys can start your classes" the king said to her,

" For the accomodations and classes thank you, but the clothes we dare not bother you for we prefer our outfits best to keep us safe and hidden" when she said that a maid came in and led them to their rooms. The king turned to his husband and son looking at them with a doubtful eye, "Do you think they are capable of defeating them, like they are students even out best warriors can't do anything to them" then his husband placed a hand on his shoulder comforting him "if they can defeat the confluence creature then we should believe they can beat the rest."

Getting to the hallway where their room is located the maid left them, their rooms were aligned on the same lane, but before going to their room they all entered the room which will be Gina's, everyone entering the room found a place to sit removed the hood of their cloaks.

"Guys from what I gathered here I believe someone Is toiling with this world, for it is known that monsters from the past when summoned takes people hostage so as to get the magic out of them and the person who summoned them have to take a long time to recover from that spell, but what am afraid of is that the person has found a way to uncontrollably release them, and another observation the person must be a historian or better best an earthling to know of the Cetus creature" Nelsia said to the group who were sitted.

"Okay tomorrow guys we will blend in the academy and get informations and get to work, and we all stick together in case the artifacts detects the presence of another monster" Gloria said and the group began leaving remaining Gloria and Gina staring furiously at each other, until Gina called out to her,

"You have been avoiding me since the trip began clear to explain why" Gina was staring at her waiting for her response "Gina am sorry but am not sure what you are saying we are in a tight situation now and I need my brain to think",

"So you are not planning on giving me answer anytime soon right?", "Gina am sorry but I don't think we can work out because I know that we can't be together" when she said that she turned around and left with her high heels clicking the marble floor "you are giving a lame excuse, what you are afraid to say is that you don't want Fred to judge you also that is why you are avoiding your feelings, just hope when you realize them it's not too late" Gina said to Gloria before she walked through the door.

Getting to her room she fell on the bed and cried till she fell asleep.

The bright beam of the morning sun woke Gloria from her slumber, she got up from her sleep position and stretched.

While stretching a maid poked her head in to tell her breakfast is ready, Gloria showered and wore her clothes with the hood of her cloak covering her face.

Getting to the hall she saw her friends already dressed up and siitted waiting for her arrival, she went ahead and sat at the chair opposite Gina and beside Fred, in her mind she was cursing herself the two people she was avoiding were the one now closest to her.

"Guys my husband and I will once again like to thank you for coming to help us, dig into the food when through you guys will be led to the academy by my son, he goes there also" when the king said this the five people looked at the boy that looks like he is in their age range, short blonde hair, piercing blue eyes, slim figure pale body and freckles on his nose and cheeks,

"Hi guys am Joan, nice to meet you guys" the group just waved at him. After finishing breakfast the group left with Joan leading them, when they got to the palace entrance they asked Joan how they were going to get there knowing so well the bridge of the river has been destroyed.

"Don't worry, me being a water mage use water orb to travel over it without being detected" Joan said while walking.

Getting to the academy the academy they could see all students walking around the academy, "here at Diem's academy you have to be strong to survive because if you annoy the wrong people a dual awaits you" Joan said to the group while walking to the entrance of the academy.

Passing through the entrance of academy into the hall all heads turn towards them each one of them whispering to the other while staring at the group going through the hall, getting to the principal's office they entered into the room,

"Mrs these are the Feng group, they will be learning here till their mission here is done" Joan said to the principal "well welcome to the academy I have received the letter from the king concerning you guys enrolling here at the academy, take this maps it has your classes there also. And please enjoy your stay" the group just nodded and left with Joan.

"Our first class is spell class" the group said facing Joan "mine also is spell class, but am afraid you guys can't cope with it cause our professors are mages and you guys are magicians" Joan said facing the group.

"Don't worry we can cope with it, we study broad". The group arrived in front on the class entering into the class all the students stared at the group, Joan went to his seat and the professor welcomed the group and asked them to introduce themselves but only Gloria could speak to the class.

"Hello everyone we are the weird feng from the infinite world, we will appreciate if you could accept us" "Won't you say your name to the class?" The professor asked them "our names do not matter here but if you insist am Gloria, and these are my friends Gina, Elijah, Nelsia and Fredrick "with that said they walked to the seat at the back of the class.

"Everyone on our last class we were working on types of magic that exists, and note that apart from them the others are dark magic .Now who can list them" the professor asked,

One of the students raised his hands and stood to answer it "there is Transportation, Transposition, Vanish, Levitation, production, Escape, penetration, Prediction, Transformation and finally Restoration" the boy sat and everyone in the class clapped" Good now I need people who would demonstrate the powers for us..."

"Sorry, but there is a mistake with the magic types you list" Nelsia broke the speech she was giving making the professor look at her "and what is that mistake" she said Crossing her hands on her chest,

"It's true we have ten types of magic that makes up the veins of the other spells but you are wrong saying the others are dark magic, there are spells that are older than those you have mentioned and that is time, healing and universal magic. It is said that the first magician to walk this earth learned this spell you have mentioned but later discovered a secret which helped him better and that secret he didn't mention was time manipulation. Time magic exist before the universe was created, when the universe is still in creation and after it will cease to be" Nelsia said, now all the eyes in the lecture hall were directed at her and the group.

"Seems you know more than you say, why don't you show us an example" the professor asked with a smile on her face, Nelsia stood up and dragged Gloria along with her to the front of the class "okay am going to cast the spells and she helps me calm the spell so as not to take control of this confined space".

Nelsia brought out her wand and looked at Gloria while nodding "This spells aren't taught in schools but we learned them in order to become powerful,

I call upon the defense mechanism power,

The power to bring forth anything to reality,

I call upon the power of astral contact defense mechanism,

Take my mind off the time in this universe and twist it with another,

The defense mechanism of mind traveling "

While Nelsia was casting that spell Gloria began hers,

"Together we are one and one for all,

I tap into the strings of the universe,

Time controlled by lines above us,

Draw together and obey my command,

I alter the power of astral contact, Take us back in time"

When those words left Gloria's lips the room flashed and they went back to when the diem world was still a forest.

"How is this possible, you guys haven't even gotten your purification ceremony yet and you can perform a time spell, you guys are not normal magicians you posses other powers you hide from people" the professor was stunned so Gloria and Nelsia brought them back because they are still weak and can't use their Powers to the fullest.

"How we practice magic isn't anyone's business but ours, we practice magic for one purpose alone saving the universe" Gloria said stepping to her seat, upon sitting the once blue sky turned gray and the artifacts wrapped around each of their body parts turned red and began wailing.

"Something is coming to the school ground and it's coming fast" Gloria said staring outside the window "But aren't we keeping our profile low, we can't battle it on the school ground" Nelsia said to the group " it has a reason to attack inside the school, it either wants something here or it wants us, let's go"

Gloria said and they cast a levitation spell and flew out the window to the school ground.

Standing on the school ground they haven't been met by any monsters yet so they kept walking until a lightning struck in front of them then a masked figure stepped out, the figure dressed in black pants and a black leather coat and his feet bare walking towards them.

"When my monsters told me that people who could destroy them were in town I didn't believe it but now am starting to, congrats on destroying the Cetus by the way, it was getting out of hands so thanks. Am here for One purpose and only one which is the Gazmox, bring it out and my monsters and I shall leave Diem" the man said stretching out his hands.

"Do you think us a fool giving you something as precious as that" Gloria said "wait what is the Gazmox again" Fred asked but Gloria just shrugged "I don't know, but me is sure if he wants it then it's important.
