CHAPTER 8: A SEEMINGLY GOOD DATE RUINED BY MYSTERY

Gloria was still sleeping when the heard the door opening, when she opened her eyes she got to see that it was Fred who was coming inside the room, staring at him blankly she asked him

" What is the time?" Fred who had no idea that he woke Gloria up jolted from his position "s**t, girl you scared the hell out of me. When did you wake up"

"Not quite long, when you came in I heard the squeaky sound of the door" " Hmm, I see. It's currently half past seven and you also need to get up and prepare for the classes today!" Fred said while dragging Gloria out of bed.

"You are enthusiastic today all because your boyfriend is taking you shopping today, not everyone is happy" Gloria said trying to organize the room before having her bath,

"Pfft, stop talking nonsense, the guy is straight and even if he was you know what I mean, he wouldn't go for my type and besides have you opened your eyes I can see the attention you get from both genders while you strode down the academy hall" Fred said putting on his earring and adding lipgloss to his lips, like he says 'to prevent it from drying when kissing the admirers', not long after their conversation a loud knock was heard at the other side of the room, Fred checking his appearance out once more satisfied with the outcome rushed to the door, on the other side of the door stood the white haired boy that makes his heart beat.

"Hi Eli, wait a minute let me inform Gloria of my departure before she thinks I was kidn*pped" rushing back into the room Fred told Gloria he was leaving and he took his shoes and put them on then ran to the door to meet a patient Elijah "Am ready".

Elijah and Fred stopped in front of a big building "welcome to the academia mall, let's have breakfast first"

Elijah said placing his right hand around Fred's shoulders pulling inside the mob of people swarming in the building, after walking for a while they finally stopped in front of a food court and entered there,

"This place serves the best egg rolls and smoothies ever, let's try it" Elijah said pulling him into the court, sitting down at a random table both picked up the menu and ordered their meal, while waiting for their food both men were discussing about random things till their food arrived,

"So Eli have you ever been in a relationship?"

"Yeah, once though "

"What prompted you guys to break up?"

"Well the guy was a power maniac who wants to be all powerful and magnificent but didn't care about me at all "

"So let me get this straight, your last partner was a guy"

Elijah eyes left his food and fixed them on Fred's one "out of everything I laid down was that the only thing you could pinpoint? And have you got a problem with that?" Elijah said moving his face closer to Fred's own, "No, not a problem, I've also had a lot of both parties so I guess that we are on the same level"

Finishing their food and paying they stepped out of the court walking towards the escalator, Elijah turned looking at Fred"have you find out what your power is, mage, magician, dark wizard, which is it?"

"Nah I think you are mistaken, I have no powers, my parents are human am here cause the order of darkness are after me" Fred said looking at Elijah as if he had grown another head,

"You said it yourself, the order of darkness doesn't go after normal humans they are after supernatural beings, that's why Gloria is here" they were talking until they arrived at a clothing store "We are here let get you handsome and attractive "

After shopping for a long time with both boys laughing and telling each other jokes and having fun they decided that they had bought enough clothes today.

Upon reaching the academy, they were stopped by Gina "the principal calls us to the combat ground now and that includes you too earth boy" Elijah waving his wand cast a spell to sort out Fred's clothes the three people rushing to the combat ground to join the others.

"I called you five here today to tell you an important message about your powers, a long lost legacy that the infinite world thought was lost has come back and you guys will be the one to fulfill it" Mr Nick said staring at the teenagers who were all staring at each other with the same thought that says 'is this real',

Though they could not actually believe it totally but they couldn't ignore the facts that new runes has been appearing on their artifact and they couldn't find a book in the library pertaining to the situation or a solution from the flow of magic so they stood still and listened to what the principal had to say,

"We kept this secret from you, especially you Gloria your parents wanted no such life for you but they had no choice when the order was after you. You four are the last people that we know inherited the powers and legacies of the powerful ancient magicians known as 'The Weird', those runes appearing on your artifacts are the call to your duty, a powerful force is about to reckon with time and space about to warp it into its own image and if it succeeds that can bring about a disaster to the entire universe" the principal was giving out the speech when Gloria stepped forward breaking the speech halfway her black hair glistening in the sunlight,

"But our powers aren't stable, we haven't even learned all the spells in the magic book and we four are just juniors how can we help with this perverse creature?" The others agreeing with her, silently they were waiting for the response of the principal to them,

"The creature of perverse doesn't know of you four existence and most importantly he still hasn't completed his ritual of sacrifice so we still stand a chance to beat him" miss Niagal told them.

"As you all know there are five planets in this dimension, each planet having its own purpose, each one of them has a sacred spell book hidden by the weird in them, those books are called 'Gazmox' they tell you about the powers you posses based on the artifact you obtained, so you guys are on a mission to retrieve the spell books and save the world" "but we are only four and Fred's power hasn't manifested yet, what is the fifth book for?" Gina asked the principal,.

But all the principal could say was "remember the weird sticks together and are strong in pack" "And remember what we discussed here today stays here no one, I mean no one can find out about it" almost finishing their conversation a voice spoke up from the back of the teenagers, "why was I summoned here, I have no powers so I can't help in defeating the perverse" Fredrick said looking somehow earger waiting for the response,

Mr Nick and Miss Niagal looked at each other laughing, Fredrick who asked the question was blushing real hard where he stood from embarrassment thinking he was not invited here,

" Boy you are different, yours isn't a legacy, it's an inheritance from your ancestors before they were wiped out of the magical dimension. You aren't a magician, nor are you a mage or dark wizard. The powers you have can create and destroy if it isn't handled with uttermost care, you my boy is the last moon god, the one who heals the dead, the one who grants power and the one who sees through magic. You play an important part here that helps us in destroying the perverse creature so buckle up you five, your training starts tomorrow before you are sent to the other dimension" Mr Nick said to the teenagers and they all left trying to go sort out their feeling and emotions after the conversation.
