book I: guardians chapter 6; the spiritual disturbance

Summary of chapter 5

Zei turned out to be Tenzan's nephew and Tenzan knew about his plans. Yin talked to Korra seeking help so what's gonna happen next?

Scene 1

Location: the temple's kitchen 

*Jinora is washing the dishes. Naomi comes in*

Naomi: Mom

Jinora: what sweetheart?

Naomi: I think that..

Jinora: Yin is really cute?

Naomi: how did you find out?

Jinora: You made it obvious 

Naomi: so everybody knows?

Jinora: No. I'm the only one that noticed it

Naomi: so what should I do?

Jinora: I have an idea

Scene 2

Location: Yin's room 

*Yin is laying on his bed. Naomi knocks*

Yin: come in 

*Naomi enters with something is her hand. Yin blushes and gets up*

Yin: oh, hey Naomi

Naomi: hey. Mom told me to give you this

*Naomi gives him his glove*

Yin: oh thanks. I totally forgot about it *takes it*

Naomi: no problem *goes out*

Scene 3

*Naomi enters the kitchen sad*

Jinora: how did it go?

Naomi: I was too shy and scared, I did nothing

Jinora: oh that's sad, better luck next time 

Naomi: what time? I'm never gonna get the courage to tell him how I really feel

Jinora: don't say that, you will do it one day I promise you that 

Naomi: smiles, thanks mom

Scene 4

Location: Yin's room 

*Yin is having flashbacks: 2 people break into his house when he was young. Yin gets back to the real life the back to flash backing: they kidnapped his cousin, whom he considered a brother. his mother is screaming her lungs out. Yin gets back to the real life with a tear running down his face, then he flashes back: when they stormed out of the house, his cousin dropped him glove, the glove that Yin is wearing. Yin gets back to the real world.

Scene 5

Scene 5-1

Location: the dining room 

*the fire lord comes in*

Lord Pyrithion: I need to save my people, I can't let them drown. I'm going back to get them. Are you guys with me ?

Jinora: I understand, we'll go together 

Scene 5-2

Location: in the first air temple

*Yin sees Jinora, lord Pyrithion and Kai talking *

Yin: what are you guys doing ?

Jinora: we're going to get the fire nation's citizens to a safe place

Yin: Well I'm going with you 

Jinora: no, it's too risky

Yin: (screaming) I'm going, I can lavabend and I can save your lives

Kai: *to Jinora* Yeah I think he should come

Jinora: but..

Lord pyrithion: he's coming

*Jinora has a helpless face expression*

Yin: fine, now we need to find a way to sneak out without Zei and his troupes finding out 

Yin: I have an idea but we might need some help

Scene 6 

Scne 6-1

Locatio: on the beach 

Time: shortly after sunrise

*Yin, Jinora, kai and the fire lord are there along with a lot of waterbending people*

Yin: Me and the waterbenders will form a big bubble that will help us sneak the citizens out. Jinora and Kai, you guys will airbended inside the bubble so that everyone can breath and lord Pyrithion, you'll show us around the place

Kai: sounds like a plan to me

Yin: let's go 

*they all start heading down and Yin and the waterbenders start forming the bubble*

Scene 6-2

Location: next to the fire nation 

*lord Pyrithione looks up*

Lord Pyrithion: (scared/shocked) my nation. It's disappearing 

POV: one of the drowned sides 

Yin: *puts his hand on the lord's shoulder* don't worry, not protecting the fire nation was by fault and I will fix it. *to everyone* Now listen to me, every side has 2 people guarding it, the big wall has small place outside of it where the guards sit. I will go alone to the side that has the rest of the firebenders under it and take the guard out by surprise. You guys stay here

Jinora: Yin that's too risky

Yin: that's my duty as an avatar, sacrifice myself for people 

*Jinora looks upset*

Yin: don't worry, i will be fine 

*Yin dives out of the bubble*

Scene 6-3

Location: the southern wall 

*a guard gets swallowed by the wall*

The other guard: what the??? *hears noises under him and jumps before he gets swallowed as well. Yin comes out of the hole*

Guard: *gasps* the avatar 

Yin: hi 

*the guard touches the ground with his foot as a sign of earthbending. Yin senses the vibration and notices that a peice of the big wall is about to hit him but before it does, Yin disappears*

Guard: where did he go?

*Yin comes up from behind him and pushes him with a peices of the big wall which makes him fall into the ocean. Then, Yin waterbends a water sphere around him and lifts him up to freeze him but before he does, the guard pushed a red button on his suit. Yin freezes the sphere and goes back to the others 

Scene 7

Location: the small wall 

Scene 7-1

Location: next to a door 

*They break off the bubble and Yin earthbends the frame around a door on the big wall to break it. He senses a lot of footsteps* 

Yin: *to the people* quick, go save the firebenders and I'll be there soon

Jinora: but

Yin: there's no time to argue. Go

*they all her down and Yin goes around the wall to catch them. There are 8 guards, 4 waterbenders and 4 earthbenders. The earthbenders start earthbending rocks at him but he avoids all of them and the waterbenders prepare to waterbend him but before they can he earthbends the wall to form a shield*

A guard: a peice of rock can't save you from us 

Yin: Think again

*the place where they were sitting suddenly becomes dark and when they look up, they see a really huge part of the wall that Yin earthbended out is about to fall on them and before it does, the earthbenders stop it but before they can lift it up, Yin earthbends the piece of earth that he made as a shield for him earlier to hit them. They all get knocked out but 2 waterbenders jump in the water before anything happens to them and they get up*

Scene 7-2

Location: the prison 

*they all come down. The prison has 4 cells with 2 firebenders in each one*

A guy: (happily) lord Pyrithion!

Lord Pyrithion: hello guys. We're here to save you. Back off little bit

*they all back off. Lord Pyrithion firebends the bars and melt them causing the cells' dorrs to open*

Jinora: wait what did you just do?

Lord: what? 

Jinora: so you were able to get out of your cell alone all of those months 

Lord: of course I was, I'm the fire lord 

Jinora: so why didn't you?

Lord: it was useless. I'm outnumbered, I would've been defeated and put back 

Jinora: you have a point 

Lord: Yin could use some help

Jinora: let's go

Scene 7-3

*one on the left, one of the right, the 2 waterbenders start bending water onto him. He tried to resist but he failed shortly after and before they capture him again Jinora airbended around their faces just like how Zahir did to the earth queen and they fainted*

Kai: did you kill them

Jinora: no. They're just temporarily out

*Kai grabs Yin and goes*

Scene 7-4

Location: the bottom of the ocean 

*Jinora sees the troupes approaching*

Jinora: oh no

Kai: what?

Jinora: they're coming. * to the waterbenders* Don't stop waterbending!

*the troupes get really close. Everybody looks at them in silence. The silence didn't stay too long because a guy broke it by his shouting*

Akira (the guy): (screaming) guys don't freak out ok *puts his hands into the troupes' direction and lightningbends lightning to the ocean's water which made it shock them causing them to loose consciousness and float to the top

Jinora: *looks at him*(surprised) wow when did you learn to do that ?

Akira: *smiles and rubs his head as a sign of shyness* I'm self taugh 

Jinora: well thank you 

Akira: don't thank me. You guys are the ones who deserve to be thanked

Jinora: *smiles* 

Scene 8

Location: Republic city 

Scene 8-1 

Location: in the city

Time: morning 

*Yin and the others still haven't arrived yet*

*a spirit turns evil and starts attacking the city. People start freaking out. The representatives of the earth, fire and water nation along with the mayor come out of the court. The representative of the water nation water goes after the spirit. The spirit sees him and start heading toward him but before he gets to him, he spiritbends him to calm him down and turn him back into his normal state, the water turns golden and the spirit as well then, the spirit vanishes*

Scene 8-2

Location: in the court

Time: the next day 

*the mayar and the representatives are there*

Jinora: what happened yesterday?

Yasuo(the representative of the water nation): a spirit turned evil and attacked the city

Jinora: this hasn't happen since the fight of Vaatu and Korra. I think the fire nation starting to drown is disturbing the spirits.

Scene 9

Location: the first air temple 

Yin: you were impressive yesterday 

Akira: thanks, I'm always trying my best. We haven't had a chance to introduce ourselves. Akira

Yin: Yin. Nice to meet you

Akira: the pleasure is mine

Yin: so, when dis you learn

lightningbending?

Akira: 2 years ago. I wanted to be able to bend more than one thing

Yin: well you saved our lives. Thanks

Akira: you guys were the ones who saved our lives. We would've probably been dead by now. You also was kind of impressive when you lavabended 

Yin: thank you, I've been learning it for a while now

Akira: well I'm happy your hard work paid off. So, where are we going to stay?

Yin: you will all stay in shelters. Here in Republic city shelters are a really good place except for you, I want you to stay with us in the temple. What do you think?

Akira: I don't really want to leave my family, I will think about it 

Yin: I understand, I didn't want to leave my family either but here we are 

Akira: I'm sorry for hearing that 

Yin: don't be. Jinora and the others are really friendly, I consider them my second family. So, you promise you'll think about my offer ?

Akira: promise. Now I have to go. Goodbye 

*Akira goes*

Yin: see ya

Scene 10

Scene 10-1

Location: the dining room 

Time: night 

Yin: Jinora I really like Akira and I think he should stay with us for a while

Jinora: who's Akira?

Yin: the guy that lightingbended yesterday and saved us

Jinora: why not? I mean he could be a good addition

Yin: thanks. I already told him to come

Jinora: and what did he say

Yin: he didn't wanna leave his family. He said he would think about it

Jinora: ok

Scene 10-2

Location: the southern air temple 

*Yin sights. Jinora comes from behind*

Jiora: what's wrong?

Yin: oh hi. Didn't see you there

Jinora: you look... lost

Yin: I am. Is there a way to talk to all of my past lives? Their wisdom is much needed these days 

Jinora: sadly no, during the fight of Vaatu and Korra, all of the avatar's past lives have been lost

Yin: I don't think so. Their impact on the world didn't go away so that means that they existed, and them existing before means that I can talk to them. It's not that they are not here anymore it's that connecting with them is harder

Jinora: you might be right

Yin: I AM right. I feel it in my heart 

Jinora: maybe you will gain back your connection with then some day 

Yin: I hope so

Scene 11

Location: the northern air temple 

*Jinora is medatation in that place*

Jinra: oh no 

Yin: what ?

Jinora: the spirit world is really disturbed by the incident. We need to expect more spirits to turn evil. I think you might need to learn spiritbending 

Yin: what's that?

Jinora: it's a way of calming the spirits down. Avatar Korra learned it 

Yin: I would love to 

Jinora: but it's a bit hard and it needs patience 

Yin: I will be patient, I promise 

Jinora: we'll see about that

Scene 12

Location: in front of Yasuo's house

*Jinora knocks on the door. Yasuo opens*

Yasuo: Jinora, avatar Yin. Why are you guys here?

Jinora: hello Yasuo, Yin needs to learn spiritbending 

Yasuo: smiles 

Scene 13

Location: Republic city 

*three spirits turn evil*
