Kelsea didn’t sleep well, even with Jaymes right there with her. She woke up once and felt like she was on fire but realized he was just laying almost on top of her. The second time she woke up, her pants had twisted around her and were digging into her belly. She tugged those off. Then she heard something.
She was about to give up even trying to sleep when Jaymes snuggled up against her and slid his big hand around her waist. He held her tight, his jeans a stiff barrier between them, and kissed her shoulder sweetly.
“You okay?” he whispered in the darkness.
She nodded. “Better now.”
He kissed her shoulder again and nuzzled her neck, then fell back to sleep. Knowing he was right there with her finally gave her peace and she managed a couple of hours of good sleep.
