Chapter Nineteen
Comfort
At the hotel, Jahar waited in her room for her to shower and change clothes. When she emerged from the bathroom, she found Eustice had just arrived with word of the second victim. She"d bagged her bloody garments in one of the hotel"s laundry bags, which she dumped in the chair across from the bed.
"We"ll need to get those clothes analyzed," the inspector told her.
"Any idea if those stains are from one of the victims?" Jahar asked.
"It"s anybody"s guess," Eustice admitted. "If we"re lucky, there may be something that the Ripper transferred onto her, and give us a clue as to what"s going on."
"The Ripper got his two?" she asked, verifying.
"Unfortunately, yes."
"At almost the same locations as the original victims?"
