Chapter 26 It was a good line, Vin decided. He ignored the nauseating waves of nerves that radiated up from the pit of his belly. Good thing the evening was still chilly, since he was shaking like a leaf. He could pass it off as being cold. He rubbed his arms, dispelling gooseflesh. He didn’t look back; if Beau was following, that was great, and if he wasn’t…well, Vin didn’t want to think about that. Vin certainly didn’t want to see Beau walk away again. Beau caught up just as Vin reached the landing, catching Vin by the elbow. “What the hell are you talking about?” Well, that was a straight line if Vin had ever heard one. He turned, cupped his hand around the back of Beau’s neck, and brought the man down for a kiss. “I’m talking about this,” he whispered just before their lips met. H
