When I returned to the room, Luca's room didn't seem to have changed a bit. I didn't see anyone inside either, but I heard the sounds of Luca giving directions and followed it to the wide-open garden doors. The little table that had been in the corner of the room was moved outside to the garden courtyard. I looked out at this garden each day while I detoxed, but the view had never been like this. A canvas tent had been erected on the left side of the courtyard. It was large enough for ten people to comfortably sit or stand inside.
