Last night, as an apology to Chris, she videochatted with her for a long while, catering to her whims.
The little girl had been feeling unwell for the past few days. Ashley told her several fairy tales and even learned a few new songs on the spot to help her fall asleep.
To her surprise, the little one said, "Mommy, can you teach me how to sing?"
Naturally, Ashley agreed, saying, "Sure, mommy will sing a line, and then you sing a line. After you learn three lines, will you go to sleep?"
Chris nodded contentedly and said, "Okay!"
Ashley began to sing, her melodious voice flowing through the phone and into Chris's ears.
