Gabriel looked at Ashley with a hint of frustration. He couldn't understand why.
After everything that had happened between them, she still hadn't fully accepted him.
Carrying his tray, he walked over, sat down at the dining table, and began eating in silence.
Ashley sensed his mood and turned to look at him. "What's wrong?"
She asked with a playful smile. "Are you upset?"
She thought for a moment and then said, "I didn't mean anything by it. I just think it's a bit too soon for us to live together since we just got back together. And don't they say that distance makes the heart grow fonder? What if we get tired of each other after moving in together?"
Ashley scooted closer, sitting on his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck, and burying her face in his chest.
