Gloria's POV
"Thank you, but this is too expensive for me to accept," I said as I held the exquisite sapphire necklace that Edward had just given me, as we left the restaurant.
Edward gazed at me with keen interest, and asked, "Have you two broken up for good?"
For a brief moment, I flinched, then replied somewhat unnaturally, "It's complicated."
Edward smirked, sizing me up, "So, you two dated and loved each other before just for show?"
I tilted my head slightly, "You seem to have a quick mind, Alpha Edward, so why ask?"
