It turns out the crime scene isn't the only place the chaos of this case has taken over. Stepping into the station reveals just how much time and effort is being taken up here too. I half expect Topaz to be sitting behind the reception desk, but it isn't her shift, and there's no real reason for two receptionists to be in right now.
With the involvement of the Magical Fire Brigade, everything seems to be a lot more complicated than normal, with the two departments needing to liaise with one another on top of the PPD needing to coordinate with the forensics department.
And that's without adding the human authorities into the mix. I'm still not completely clear on how it works, but Ambrose told me it's something to do with the switchboard and the central database of paranormal dwell
