Chapter 9 An Egg Against the Stone

When Veronica Parker went back, she made milk for the children, and then sat in the corner of the kitchen and wondered if she would resolutely resign after she went there tomorrow.
Would her resignation provoke his anger? What were the consequences?
Nick Cage's position of power was enough to frighten people.
She was just a little civilian who was nothing. Was not she just an egg bumping against a stone?
Kay Tours has made it very clear that she could not resign.
"Oh." Veronica Parker sighed deeply.
"Mom?"
Veronica Parker looked up and watched the six small cute little kids come in with the bottle in their arms. They walked up to Veronica Parker and she squeezed them into her arms.
Veronica Parker reached out and hugged their soft bodies. "What's the matter?"
"Mom, has anyone ever bullied you?" When Cathy smiled and asked, her little face was serious.
"Mom, I am always the best, I want to play strange whoosh!" Peter waved his fist.
"Mom, I'm going to play weird whoosh, too!" Julie climbed up, put his arm around Veronica Parker's neck, and hung it.
"Mom, I want it, too." Josh spoke quietly and weakly.
"Mom, don't be afraid." Lily with two lovely ponytails hugged Veronica Parker's arm.
Daniel didn't say a word but silently held out his little fist in front of Veronica Parker.
Veronica Parker was slightly stupefied and immediately understood what he meant so she also held out his fist and ran into Daniel's small one.
"Mom!" Daniel has a firm look on his face. He could not say anything yet, so he replaced it with a "hmmm". It's adorable.
Veronica Parker smiled, "Come on, thank you, Daniel. You are all mom's babies."
When she looked at the lovely children who were all so sensible, Veronica Parker's heart was warm.
It also gave her strong courage, anyway, as long as she works well then she was no different from other employees of KING Group.
The more frightened she would be, the easier it was to be exposed.
Rest's bed was a sleeping matter because Veronica Parker was worried that the children would fall out of bed at night. The sleeping mat was large from the ground, and Veronica Parker slept with the children.
On the sleeping mat, the picture of an adult with six small ones was really cute.
Although it was not cold during the day, it would be chilly at night.
Six small kids were like six warm water bags. Veronica Parker was very relieved to use them.
The next day, Veronica Parker went to the highest authority floor to report for duty.
The secretary department was under Kay Tours' department. Kay Tours led her to the conference room and told her that her job was to manage and serve the CEO conference room on this floor.
The conference room was large, bigger than her apartment, with a long conference table. There were green plants on the table.
Also, the high-tech projection was needed in meetings.
When she came out of the conference room, Kay Tours took her to the secretarial department. He then introduced her to the people in the secretarial department and then went to work.
Veronica Parker felt that the secretarial department was very serious as if they were living in the tense atmosphere of the college entrance examination, with no one talking or deserting.
The phone on the table rang at 9: 30 and Kay Tours called. "There's a meeting at 10:00."
"Yes!" Veronica Parker immediately got up and went to the conference room.
When everything was ready in the conference room, she stood at the door and waited.
From a distance, she saw all the high-level officials coming. Veronica Parker hurriedly opened the door and all the high-level people went in.
Was there no one back there?
What was the closing time?
Not long after closing, she saw Nick Cage in a black suit, with a tall and straight figure, and a strong aura.
Veronica Parker immediately tightened her body as she noticed that Nick Cage was coming towards her, and her breathing stopped.
