I couldn’t focus, I just stared blankly at the computer screen not even seeing anything, all I could picture was as just Kyle, for the past two weeks I was getting annoying lovesick, I would linger when Kyle was around to notice me but he wouldn’t even look my way, I would buy him drinks especially beer because I discovered he liked beer, but he would just wave me off. It was becoming frustrating for me, but I was too damn lovesick to even care. Once, he accepted my beer but didn’t say anything thing else while I just stood mesmerized by his face, our eyes locked and I stared at his mouth, but he stood and quietly asked me to leave, probably embarrassing the s**t out of me. I sat now, pondering what method to use today like some lovesick fool. With a sigh I finished what I was doing and stood I gathered the report and walked to Kyle’s door. He was sitting in his swivel chair staring at the window, lost in thought. His eyes were dark, the sun reflected on his face giving his usual hard looks an angelic one. I mustered courage and walked in. “Sir?” I called and he didn’t even flinch, I walked closer and waved the file. “I’ve brought the file Sir” I said. “Drop them” he said and I dropped the file, what was wrong with him? I lingered for a while. “Are you okay sir?” I asked and this time he turned, he arched a brow. “Get back to work, Miss Freeman” he said voice cold, my dreams of he noticing me was getting dashed. “Sir…..I…..” I stammered. “Just go!” He said angrily and i fled the office. I was a complete fool what if he never see me as I saw him, I picked my bag preparing to go home as my resolve steeled, I wasn’t here to fall in love, I am here to provide for my family and if Kyle didn’t see me as anything so be it. I stormed out of my small office and stood at the bus stop waiting for the next bus home. When I got home Ava was sitting beside my mother, she even looked worse now, weary to the bone. “What happened to her” I asked and Ava shook her head. “It’s getting worse Diana, it’s time we take her to an hospital” _______________________________________ Gosh! I hated the smell of antiseptics, I hated hospitals, Ava sat beside winking at a young doctor and I rolled my eyes, typical of Ava to womanly work her way out of everything, not sure now if she could humanly work her way out of three hundred thousand dollars. That is the reason I sat glumly now, where the hell do I get three hundred dollars now my monthly pay was not up to that. Ava stood and motioned the doctor over and they entered the toilet together, and I shook my head, Ava loved manipulating men, I knew she was gonna tire the poor doc out of his mind, wish I was more bold like her. After three good hours, Ava came out looking composed for someone who just you know……. “Hey how is it” I asked stupidly and she smiled wickedly. “For a small-d**k doc? Bad” she muttered and straightened her skirt, it the worst se…….” I covered her mouth and she stared at me. “What” she asked “You can’t say that word” I whispered blushing, she barked out a laugh and swat my hand away. “You mean s*x? Jeez! Diana you are impossible, that isn’t a vulgar word big sis, it is in a dictionary right?” Ava asked and grinned when I scowled. Ava was too damn smart for me. “Well he didn’t put anything little stuff in me, I just sucked his lollipop” Ava said, grinning at my disgusted expression. “Fine” I grumbled, I watched as the doctor came out and scurried away, “So much much is the money now since you……..” I said inclining my head to the toilet. “One hundred and ninety” she said and my mood still darkened. “It’s still much Ava” I said and she nodded sadly. “I know Diana, you have to figure something out” she said and I nodded glumly, my pocket buzzed and I brought out my phone; it was a message from Sasha. You need money tonight I know a place you can find it quick. Where? I texted back and I waited then a message popped in and I clicked it and what I saw almost made me laugh.
