The next morning I made the return trip to Erie, leaving at approximately nine, following a breakfast that consisted of water and an apple. The drive was grossly miserable and merciless. There was a lot of crying behind the wheel, anger, and frustration. At points, I had to pull over, get the sobbing and other dismantled emotions out of my system, and continue the trip. I became lost, not on the highways and roads traveled, but rather inside my mind and soul.
