"It’s you!" Rebecca exclaimed. Though she didn’t know Rain’s name, she recognized her instantly. She rushed forward, grabbing Rain’s hand: “How is Ethan?"
Though a part of her believed Ethan was gone, she couldn’t accept it without seeing his body. She refused to believe it.
Rain didn’t answer Rebecca’s question. Instead, she turned her gaze to Bane: “Watch your words. Arrogance without reason isn’t worth flaunting."
She then turned to Rebecca: “Ms. Nicholas, you may leave whenever you wish."
"Thank you.” Rebecca said, pulling Hilda to leave.
But Bane barked: “Stop! I haven’t given you permission to leave. Who dares to walk out?"
Two tall bodyguards stepped forward, blocking Rebecca and Hilda. They seemed ready to use force.
Terrified, Rebecca and Hilda froze in place.
Bane smirked
