“Where is he?” Rebecca’s tears streamed down her face.
The woman said: “He asked me to tell you that he didn’t want you to see him in his current state.”
“Tell me where he is! I need to see him.” Rebecca’s tears kept falling.
The woman said: “Ms. Nicholas, if you don’t love someone, don’t go see them. For the past three years, he’s always put you first, humbling himself before you, but he didn’t get your love in return.”
Rebecca shouted: “Shut up! Take me to him!”
The woman seemed to realize that no matter what she said now, Rebecca wouldn’t listen, so she sighed: “Fine, follow me.”
The woman led Rebecca downstairs and straight to the top floor of the Silver Fork restaurant next door.
