Ethan stepped forward, bowing deeply before the casket. Rising to his full height, he commanded: “Lift the coffin. Begin the procession.”
His cold voice resonated through the hall.
Yet the pallbearers hesitated to move.
Oscar then interjected: “The seal is here. Follow Mr. Wang’s instructions. We must not delay the auspicious time for the funeral.”
With Oscar’s support, Lorcan and Magnus tacitly agreed. After all, they had never considered Ethan a true competitor. If it wasn’t one of the three brothers leading the procession, letting Ethan do it was preferable.
With the three family leaders showing no opposition, the others naturally fell in line, including the pallbearers.
Holding the Tremblay family seal, Ethan took the lead, guiding the procession.
