I stepped into Emily’s company, aware of all the stares I got as I walked into the elevator which took me to Emily’s office.
Her ofifce was at the top floor and thankfully only her and her assistant, Mona, stayed on that floor.
Mona was quiet surprised to see me as she stood up.
“Good morning Mr Stiles. My boss Emily is in a meeting right now. I should check in first,” she said politely.
I had not called to inform Emily of my coming so I wasn’t surprised about Mona wanting to be sure it was okay for me to go in.
She went in and after a minute walked out with two men whom I was sure were the ones Emily was having a meeting with.
“You can go in,” Mona said, eyeing the package in my hand suspiciously.
I grinned at her before walking into Emily’s ofifce.
