69 Emily Monroe “Boss, Met Fredrick is here,” Mona said through the intercom. “Let him in,” I responded as I quickly sat upright. Mona walked in a few minutes with Mr Frederick, dropping off a document on my desk before leaving. “Good day Miss Emily,” Frederick greeted, taking a seat. “Good morning Frederick. What’s news?” I asked, my eyes scanning the document Mona had left me. Frederick was the general supervisor for the plantation project and twice a week he had to report the progress of the plantation to me.
