Chapter 1

"Come on, dude, it's just a little joke. No one is going to get hurt" my best friend, Adam whined again as he had been doing for the past 3 days. It's starting to get on my nerves. I rubbed my temples to sooth the headache I felt coming on. What is so hard to get? I said no. One would think that when someone is a senior in high school they would understand the simple word; But no, not my friends. "Why him, of all people, why that guy? You could have picked any other guy but you had to go and pick the one I am least likely to date. Just because I'm gay doesn't mean I'm desperate." I whined back. I thought being openly gay would be difficult in the sense that I would get bullied and shunned but no, that's not my problem. It could only be me who could have a problem of my straight friends always trying to get me to terrorize, or as they like to call it help, 'suspects' who they ASSUME may be gay too. I have done it and it has worked every time but those were all workable-with guys; hot emo dudes, hot jocks, hot nerds, skinny bad boys. But the new target? No, he doesn't fall into any of those categories. "Well, you haven't gotten any in what? Six, eight months? So I think you fall into the desperate category, my friend" he snorted "Besides he's just a nobody, a wall flower, a lonely face in the crowd. Geez, stop being so damn difficult and do it already!" Adam exasperated. I tilted my head and gave him a questioning look "Why...tsk... why is this so important to you anyway?" I asked quirking an eyebrow. "I...don't...know. It would be really funny and hey, you might even get some." He muttered "No" I stated simply "Ugh, fine whatever." He snapped. Well glad that's over with. I will never...ever go for that guy, no way in hell, no way in heaven, no way in purgatory, not even in a joke...not even in a nightmare... not even in his wildest fantasies...not even in Lady Gaga's video's will you ever catch me wanting him. I shuddered at the thought. "You probably couldn't get him anyway" Adam muttered under his breath "What?" I asked narrowing my eyes. Oh no he didn't. "Oh nothing." He said "What did you just say, Adam?" I hissed. "Oh just that you probably couldn't get him anyway? What? I'm just saying that you might do for most guys but not him. He seems... I don't know, in a different league" he shrugged. I gapped at him, how dare he? Tsk, he is just trying to trick me into it. I scoffed "Oh please, I could have him with the snap of my fingers" "Nah, not him... not only is he straight, I hear he doesn't like guys like you." "Guys like me?! What the hell are you talking about, Adam?" I hissed glaring at him. "Yeah, pompus asses. Oh well, I guess it's best you said no, after all I wouldn't want to ruin your perfectly huge ego." he sighed. He is not going to get to me. No, I will not be coerced into this. He can stuff his stupidity. Pfft, who doesn't want me? I am the epitome of gorgeous...perfection in humanity. Oh please, he would probably be honored to date someone like me. People like me?! Pssht! Dammit , no I won't fall for Adam's trap, no! Damn it! damn it! damn it! "How much?" I uttered gritting my teeth. "What?" Adam asked with a stupid grin on his face. If he wasn't my best friend I would wipe that look off his face. "I said how much?!" I sneered "No..no, it's okay. I wouldn't wan–" "How much?!!!!" I all but shouted with a death glare still in place "I'll go easy on you" "Adam" I warned in a low voice "700" "Deal" "Dude, you don't have to... you know-" "Shut up!" I growled. "This will be easy, get ready to pay up. I will get that tub of lard." I said quietly and turning my head to watch him. He was sitting at his table with his friends with an amused expression and his chunky arms crossed over his chest. I shuddered. For the sake of male pride, I will get him. He will be so hooked he won't be able to see straight. The bell rang signifying the end of lunch. I stood up and threw away my rubbish and took my leave without as much as a backwards glance to my table of friends. "Think he will pull it off?" Jake asked Adam as soon as their friend had disappeared "Most definitely. He is, after all, Matthew Antonio Pavarotti. He can have you if he wanted, never mind a wall flower like Chub chub over there." Adam laughed. "Yeah well, just hope no one gets too hurt. I don't have a good feeling about this kid." Jake cautioned. "Eh, calm down. It will all be okay." Adam assured him before they headed off to class.
