Livia POV My feet slam against the forest floor, each step a raw burst of desperation. Twigs whip across my skin, branches claw at my arms and legs, tearing into my flesh as I push forward, but I barely feel it. All I can focus on is the ground quaking beneath me, the relentless vibration of Apollo’s heavy paws as he closes in. He’s so close now, his presence a dark storm looming just behind me, each thundering step a promise that he won’t stop until I’m his. But this isn’t what I wanted. I force my legs to move faster, lungs burning with the strain, even as the ache of exhaustion fights to pull me down. I didn’t ask to be hunted like prey, to be marked as something he owns.
