Chapter 6: I will find you

1247 Words
POV: Emilio: I knew she was like her mother. Her beautiful mother Alexandra. This child thinks she has abandoned her, but I have her mother in a separate building. I would never let Allie go. I have known I loved her since we were children. We met when I was 12, and she was 9, and she saved my life when I got pulled into a current. I vowed that I would marry her then and there. The only thing that messed it up was I had a mate out there and, unfortunately, when I turned 18 it wasn’t Alexandra. I hoped it was because she wouldn’t be 18 for a few more years, so I waited. Not without my fun, but those she-wolves knew who my heart belonged to. I played the role of a best friend to Alexandra. She wanted to wait for her other half. Finally, on her 18th birthday, I realized fully she was not my fated mate. I was so angry I went on a rampage in the woods. Never meeting my fated mate didn’t hurt because I would reject them for my sweet Alexandra right away. Her beauty was unmatched. Her waist-long black curly hair, her purple eyes, her perfect curves were supposed to be mine. I don’t care what anyone human, werewolf, vampire, witch, or even the goddess herself said. My werewolf Timber loved her too, but his heart still ached for his fated mate. I personally hope we never find her because I don’t know how Timber will react once I reject his mate. Us wolves need our mates. Maybe I will keep my mate as a mistress if I ever find her, but Alexandra is my one true love and I have destroyed anything that has separated us, including poisoning her fated mate and making her my wife. Catalina surprised me when she tapped into such power and killed half a dozen of my guards. If I had known severe trauma like that would have finally given me what I wanted, then I would have done it years ago. Now that I have seen a glimpse of her abilities, I will go to the ends of the world for my little daughter. “I will find you.” POV: Jairo: As time passes by, I am facing more pressure from the council to take a chosen mate. Thankfully, Tiffany, my head warrior, does a lot of duties that is normally handled by my luna. Tiffany and I have been friends since we were little kids. Her, Benny and I were like the three musketeers. When Benny and I went through our little wild stage, she was our alibi. I’m not going to lie I did go through a sleeping through she-wolves stage. I would drink alcohol with wolfsbane to forget the pain of my mate being taken from me so soon. It wasn’t right, but it is what it is. Benny was just as wild, but his mom about whooped our tails and set us right. She put the thought of our mates doing what we were doing, and obviously we did not like that, so we couldn’t be hypocritical and straighten our lives out. Tiffany was there for it all. She’s barely younger than us and still hasn’t found her mate either. I’m starting to think my curse has spread to everyone else too. Tiffany is losing hope that her mate is out there. She even took a year to travel to find him. “Maybe we should get fake mated for the sake of the council,” Tiffany offered as she straightened my tie. She has made similar offers, but neither my heart nor my wolf would even allow that. “Tiffany, you know I love you but like a sister nothing more. My heart is for my mate and so is my luna title.” She looked hurt for a second and then smiled. “I know I’m just trying to get them off your back.” She then rushed out of my office. I decided to eat dinner and take a nap because I developed a headache. I fell asleep fairly quickly and woke up to an amazing dream. I was running through the woods after someone with long silver hair. She smelled of strawberries and chocolate. “Mate Mate Mate Mate.” Zeus my wolf screamed in my head. Then she shifted into a silver wolf with black paws and then disappeared in thin air. I woke up and looked at the clock:12:30 am knowing this was a sign from the goddess herself. “My little mate, I will find you.” POV: Catalina: I have been with my new family for three months now and my healing has been amazing. Amelia and I have been working out and doing light fighting practices. I have started filling out and no longer look like a bag of bones. To top it all off, I will be turning 18 at midnight, which means I get to meet my wolf. I have imagined her every night since I had that dream. Amelia and Eddie and the rest of the pack, of course, had to make a big deal for it. Everyone here has been so welcoming, and it warms my heart so much. We gathered under the full moon at 11:30 where I was officially initiated into the pack. Amelia decorated the forest and everyone was there for me to do my first shift. Soon it was 12, and I was just standing there worried my wolf wasn’t going to come after all. Then suddenly, I got the worst headache and heard a voice in my head, “Hello human, I’m Regina. I’ve missed you. I’m sorry about the pain.” “Huh?” I thought, and then I was hit with the worst pain of my life. Amelia gave me advice and told me to breathe and not fight it. So I took deep breathes and gave my trust to my wolf. The pain was still there, but trusting my wolf made the process faster. Finally, I was done. Everyone was looking at me. I knew my Regina was beautiful as I'd seen her before, but I didn’t expect such stares. Eddie’s wolf sniffed me and seemed disappointed before he turned to face the crowd. Then Eddie and Amelia shifted and howled and soon followed everyone else. We ran, played and hunted into the morning light. I was fully free and felt like I finally had a family, and a pack. We shifted back and went home. “Eddie gave everyone a free day aside from emergency hospital staff,” Amelia said as she snuggled into a blanket on the sofa. “Movie time?” I asked. “Of course. Since you’re uneducated on movies, I’ll pick.” And we cozied up on the sectional. It was less than five minutes before Eddie walked in and said, “WOW, no invited cool.” He sat between us and pulled us in to be used as a human pillow. I chuckled to myself and excused myself to use the restroom. “Why do you always get to pick the movie?” whined Eddie. “Simple…because girls rule and boys drool.” Teased Amelia. I chuckled and looked into my bathroom mirror. “This is my family. I will protect them with my life. I will get stronger, and dad guess what….. I WILL FIND YOU.”
