The Little Boy

After like five hours Driving

 On her way going after she has entered few of the cities, almost getting close to Moscow. She almost hit someone with her car, actually she never saw him coming since it was a small child, though is the boy’s fault not hers but she got angry and came out of the car and ask him why he crossed the road like that, meanwhile the boy was lost staring at her because she was still putting on her mask.

“What are you doing by the road side don’t you know how to cross well” the M.B said with an Audible Voice that got the boy scared

“Am sorry ma” the boy apologized and to say. “My step mom sent me out of the house and she have given me the beaten of my life already  she sent away out of the house. I was thinking of where to go that’s why I did not notice I have crossed the road, am sorry ma.” The boy answered her with full confidence in his voice.

“Your step mom sent you out of the house, but why are you staring at me like that?” obviously she noticed the boy was lost staring at her immensely.

“Sorry ma, but you are putting on a mask” pointing at the boss face. “And your eyes and mouth are the only visible part in your face, and you are also driving such an expensive car, am scared of standing and talking to someone like you, you looked like you are going to kill me, please don’t kill me for running over your car.” The little boy said, she looked at him, she just thought how innocent the little boy is, bending down to the little boy’s level, so she said to him.

“Yes you must surely be scared me and you are lucky to be standing before me this moment” she teased the boy a little and said again. Now you will take me to your step mom’s, she must have a reason for beating a small boy like you” she said.

“But why do you want to see her, please I don’t want to go back there just let me go and look for my brother, I can’t go back home if not step mom won’t spare me.” The little boy said.

“Your brother so you have a brother, were is he? She asked. “Yes I have an elder brother, he always goes out in the morning and comes back in the night, but today am sure he will be back soon, he said in the morning that he won’t stay late at work today.” He said to her, waiting for her to speak. “But what of work is he doing, is your brother a graduate? She asked him.

“Yes he is a graduate but I don’t know why he isn’t working in a big company, he is doing some petty job so he will be able to pay my school fees.” The boss found some interest in the little boy she also wants to know more about is brother.

“So do you know your brothers phone number? She asked him.

“Yes ma I know it,” the small boy happily replied.  “Take this phone and call him to come home that you are in need of his help urgently. Do that fast” she said to him, without thinking twice he took the phone from her hand, and dial his brother’s number.

After the boy has finish making the call to his brother, the boss asked him to enter into the car, which he did.

“So boy what’s your name?” the boss asked him. “Am Daniel Ma” he replied. “So which way are we following to your step mom place,” she asked.

“That route,” Pointing at a particular route. Wolfy who quiet all along, made his presence known and bark a little bit, that frightened the little boy.

“He got scared and almost on the verge of crying,” she noticed what was happening then she decided to calm wolfy first. “wolfy what’s wrong with you don’t you know the difference between an enemy and a friend.” Obviously speaking to a dog, who actually acted just in the way she spoke to him, the dog brought out is tongue and licked Daniel face, which made Daniel to laugh at him.

“Ok. So where is your mom and your dad?” She further asked Daniel some few question.

“Mom died after she gave birth to me, and Dad got married again just because of me so there will be someone to take care of me. But Dad died just last year but thank God brother finished his Schooling before the death of Dad, if not he won’t be able to continue his studies.

“Alright so are you are not scared of me now?” she asked him

“No aunty am not scared of you again in fact you are very beautiful with the mask on your face, I wonder what you will look like if you should remove your mask,” looking so happy saying that, but she found him acting like how a kid should.

“Really that’s nice but I don’t remove my mask is always on my face, I only removed it when it’s needed,” she said to him.

“But why aunty, is it necessary you put it on?” He asked her.

“Because am the unknown, I don’t reveal my identity to any one” she explained.

“What does that mean” Confused Daniel asked.

“You can’t Know but don’t worry I will make sure you continue your studies, and you will be living with me from now on you and your brother.” She said with confidence in her voice.

“Really, thanks ma that’s really kind of you, it’s left to my brother not me, if he decide we stay with you then I really don’t have a problem with it.” She stare at him for a moment and wonder why he talks like matured person, how a small boy like him have the brain of a matured person.

“Really!! cute boy, don’t try to cross the road again the way you did today”

“Ok Boss.” He answered, she was shock to hear what he just called her.

“What!! why are you calling me boss?” she asked.

“Because I saw boss on the back of your shirt the other time when we are about entering the car.” Meanwhile the shirt was gifted to her by Sarah.

“wow nice try,” she mumbled to herself.

“Ma there is our house you can enter, the security man will opened the gate.

“Ok,” she answered.

With that the boss went inside the compound with her car after the gate was opened for her by the gate security, meanwhile the brother also has reached home but he is waiting outside the house and the step mom and her children also are with him.

All are surprise to see such an expensive car drove into their compound.

“What kind of car is this and what is it doing in my compound. What!! And why is Daniel coming out of that car. Mirabel said, obviously she is Daniel step mom.
